Were there not rumours on an earlier thread that Martin is likely the 40th anniversary death?

One of the mysteries of the square is why on earth does Lauren and previously, Suki, wander around with the biggest handbag this side of Walford on their arms, only to walk from their house to the Vic, or the mini mart.

I doubt they'd get rid of Martin. I agree Ruby's return seems to be timed for Stacey's exit. I think the transplant is a plot to bring him and Ruby closer together, then she and Stacey will be at war. He isn't exactly a catch is he 😆

Then again, he's better than Jack (and Jack) 😆Jack really does love himself.

Great duf duf today , although where is Lauren sleeping ? Does she live with Ian ? I think they do.

I suppose the fact she took drugs will show up now ( or be discovered )
Lauren doesn't know about Cindy and Junior does she , it's another story line that's all a bit tragic

I absolutely hate this reincarnation of Peter

Peter has two expressions
Baffled and even more baffled

He looks permanently stupid/daft which is probably what the makers are thinking of but then gives him @catin8oots @the80sweregreat only two expressions.

I keep on thinking that Cindy Junior is obviously the long lost daughter of Cindy (and?!) and Cindy Junior is also the names of them “together”. She has zero chemistry with poor Ian though.

Cindy never did love Ian back in the day and now in the present
She used him to get back to the square
If he hadn't agreed to go back , she probably would have dumped him and left him in France.! With his baguettes

Peter always looks startled with those wide, staring eyes. I’m guessing Lauren sleeping through the fire will lead to everyone finding out she is taking drugs.

Gosh Junior is actually coaching Kojo into revealing everything. Obviously thinks he is going to walk off into the sunset with Cindy. The birdsong reveal that she only loves George is not going to go down well!

I can't wait to see junior's face when we hear Cindy ' birdsong ' admit to loving his dad more than him !.. oh dear
Cindy will have nowhere to live and be out in the snow. ( it never snows Christmas Day in east London, only in Walford )

I think this is heading for an exit for Cindy. It’s all going to come out as well about the drugs.

Lauren is bound to mention ' drugs ' in someone else's hearing ( as they do) and cotton on that she gave them to Lauren whilst she was pregnant:(
We see Anna with the fire stick ( or whatever it's called ) during the trailer , so seems she will have a big part to play with the big revelations

As soon as I saw a candle on the bedside table I thought "who would be stupid enough to do that"...

Peter is so gormless. They've never really got the actor right for that role.

Junior is as bad as Cindy, manipulating Kojo for his own reasons.

How convenient the police have wandered off without bothering to search derelict properties for Nish.

Would anyone miss Martin if he is the ' dead for the 40th anniversary' one?

Awww I quite like Martin. He's quite realistic as an average kind of bloke. He turns up for work on his fruit and veg stall every day, doesn't court drama, isn't overally involved in the lives of his various extended family members in the Square. He's humdrum, but I think that's okay.

I haven't seen today's yet.
I think I would miss Martin, we need the everyday normal blokes in it and he's a dad/stepdad to Hope, Roman, Lily, Arthur. He went rogue a while back doing dodgy things and looking villanous, can't remember what it was though.
Definitely will miss Cindy! But like a pp said I can't see anyway back from the Xmas reveal, who would want her around? Shame cos she and George have a lot of chemistry.
Love Elaine having a bigger role, she's great as The Vic's landlady.

Maybe Elaine will be the one who’ll play the recording to get revenge on Cindy.

I like Martin too, he’s basically a decent guy although I did have a ten year eastenders break so I might have missed some of his badass moments.
also like Elaine. Cindy has pissed me off , hope she gets proper comeuppance. Never liked Ian but hope he gets some righteous dignity and effs her off once and for all. I know it’s not real but I hate the manipulation of kojo.
