Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Yes, the brooch on Lee was a nice touch, and didn't Nancy have flamingo earrings too?

Southeastdweller · 17/12/2024 11:59

Bit of a mundane episode today. Linda has left and George returned.

the80sweregreat · 17/12/2024 12:23

Oh, is today's one on I player then ?
( I thought they didn't do this if it's not broadcast in the evening !!)

Southeastdweller · 17/12/2024 12:26

Yep - the episode listed as 18/12/24 is now on iPlayer.

Today's one was odd.
The sonography lady didn't really seem too interested in why Lauren was still in pain
Why didn't she ask to see a doctor ?
Cindy bring her usual manipulative self too ;(
She does it well

Eastie77Returns · 17/12/2024 15:41

In fairness to Cindy I thought she was genuinely shocked to discover Lauren is pregnant and at least she refused to give her any more drugs.

NeighbourHitMyCar · 17/12/2024 15:53

I really thought todays episode was quite dangerous in its handling of Lauren going for the scan

Lots of questions about when she last felt the baby move and Peter saying they felt it kick last week

She is just 17 weeks along

You would absolutely not feel kicks yet and only just starting to feel the flutters of movement. Regular kicks and movements around 22 weeks and if you're not feel it daily after 24 weeks that's when you should start to be concerned

As someone who had real anxiety in pregnancy this episode would have really worried me if I was pregnant and not feeling regular movements-lots of misinformation that I thought was quite irresponsible

But I may also be influence by my dislike of Lauren!

Eastie77Returns · 17/12/2024 16:20

This is Lauren’s second baby and I remember I felt my second kicking a lot earlier than the first (can’t remember how early though).

I really can’t believe they are revisiting Stacy and Martin yet again but perhaps this is part of whatever her exit storyline is for her mat leave. She really looks heavily pregnant atm!
Lily is a gobby little madam isn’t she. When she was shrieking at Martin for donating a kidney and asking if he would do the same for her or Arthur…seems she feels insecure because she’s not his bio daughter.

Anyonecanfallinlove · 17/12/2024 16:32

I can't relate to the Lauren story. I'm really struggling to believe anyone would live in pain. Why isn't she seeking medical help? I can only think this is eastenders highlighting errors with the NHS.
Cindy is just awful, can see now how she has no friends

Southeastdweller · 17/12/2024 16:38

Didn't she see a doctor the other day and he said he wouldn't be prescribing her any more painkillers?

OP posts:
Anyonecanfallinlove · 17/12/2024 16:45

Yes that episode was a while back. It highlights errors in the NHS to me. Her pain is being dismissed

the80sweregreat · 17/12/2024 16:47

Lily has Stacey's hair.
It's so weird how they look so alike and I don't think they are related in real life either ?
Ruby looks like she'd rather be somewhere else most of the time.
The Lauren story is baffling me. It appears I'm not the only one struggling with that one by or where it's actually going?
Anna giving out the birdsong CDs today ready for next week's big reveal.
That'll wipe the smile off her face once she's rumbled.

Eastie77Returns · 17/12/2024 17:11

Yeah Ruby looks like she really can’t be arsed with it all. The actress is making a minimal effort.

Lauren has been walking around sweating and half collapsing for weeks now. All a bit ridiculous and I also find the whole storyline baffling.

the80sweregreat · 17/12/2024 17:29

Ruby looks like she is in pain ( i know it's because she is worried about Roman , but it also looks like she is acting her part under sufferance and she can't get out of it !)

the80sweregreat · 17/12/2024 17:35

Maybe Lauren is having an alien baby ?
Cue Phil in the pub cutting the baby out with a tin opener and it goes on to kill everyone
So random with Reiss and Kim today. I was like ' oh , it's Reiss '

Cindy has always been awful. Comes from a long line of nasty women on the Square (Janine, Shirley, Suzy Branning, Lucy Beale etc) that no one would ever speak to again in real life.

Phil is the Squares Go-To Midwife especially now Super Sonia is out of the way and more likely to be in handcuffs than latex gloves.

Phil in latex.........don't even go there.

lazymum99 · 17/12/2024 18:56

I think Lauren’s pain is purely due to withdrawal symptoms from the opiates she has been taking. She is not telling the nurse because she is ashamed. The flu like symptoms are also withdrawal. Don’t think any of it is due to pregnancy or her previous injury.

Eastie77Returns · 17/12/2024 19:36

Kim calling Elaine ‘Lorraine’ was quite funny. Poor woman, on top of that Kat insists on calling her Eee-Laine. It must be very annoying (I have a name that is always mispronounced by Americans and as I work for a US company and have an American manager I have to put up with it all the time😭)

I can’t imagine what Stacey’s exit is going to be but she certainly looks as if it’s imminent!

I thought it was early to feel the baby kicking. I know nothing about pregnancy scans but I did think the Lauren’s behaviour and symptoms would result in the sonographer alerting the midwife. It seemed fairly obvious after what she said about ‘strong painkillers’ that she was in withdrawal.

I find Peter almost more annoying than Lauren😬

I agree re Ruby, I wondered what was wrong with her at one point. It is a very one note storyline for her to act, she is constantly on the hospital set and interacting with Martin which must be a challenge.

I love kat and Alfie, always have. I know he was meant to be an arse in real life but his character is sweet , I think they’re a great couple.

Kat and Alfie
Sharon and Phil
Stacey and Martin
Linda and Mick
Honey and Billy
Jane and Ian
Jack and Jack

the80sweregreat · 18/12/2024 12:03

Now , Jack and Jack !
😆
He does love himself in his turtle necks

Eastie77Returns · 18/12/2024 12:15

With Ruby I do find her teeth distracting. I can only imagine they brought her back to facilitate Stacey’s exit. I think they are going to end up fighting over Martin (what a prize..). I can’t work out how that will result in Stacey leaving unless it’s yet another prison sentence for doing something to Ruby, she goes on the run or she’s off to look after an off-screen sick relative (Little Mo?).

Jack and Jack made me laugh😂 I read spoilers that he and Ravi will start fighting over Denise and she can’t work out who to choose. A drug dealer or a shouty self absorbed copper. Choices, choices.

the80sweregreat · 18/12/2024 12:41

Many would choose Ravi , but he is a drug dealer and not that wholesome
Jack I'd bin off too
Neither are great tbh
