I'm up to date.

Hate what Chloe and Jordan are doing to their house. Replacing all the character with grey.

Sassi is so stuck. She needs a lot of therapy to move on from Darren and stop dressing up her concern for his new relationship as how it affects Zenaya rather than what it really is that is her still being in love with him. Him having another baby with an almost stranger is grim.

Manley is such a monumental dickhead I can't even look at him. Have quite a lot of sympathy for Mia but she also does need to slow down her next relationship.

How do the US ones end up with so much money and massive houses and the UK ones don't? Are they paid differently by MTV or is it just that the US ones monetise their profiles better?

Amber never seems to change. Nothing ever seems any different from one series to the next. When Hudson threw the remote at the TV and didn't even seem to think what he had done was wrong.

Sassi bugs me she seems so stuck on Darren. Zeneya is so sweet too. She loves being with each parent equally and if they don't change their ways that little girl will be stuck between them both constantly.

Choose and Jordan just seem to brag about what they have. Fair enough I feel sorry for chloe with the losses in her life but she's so stuck up. On the upside at least we actually see marley in this series as we barley saw him last time.

Hanley....hate the boy! He's got nothing about him whatsoever. He always pulls the feel sorry for me face and his mother stands by him!

Some thoughts after episode 1,

Sassi is quite scary, she's always so angry, makes you wonder how much worse it is when there's no camera there.
I do get why she'd be upset about Darren moving on and having a baby but she flies off the handle about absolutely everything.

I felt for Amber about the school jumper, my DS used to chew his jumper and yes, we tried fidget toys, chew necklaces, endless distractions but he still did it and I wasn't going to buy a new jumper every week. Her mum is clueless, there are plenty of faults with Amber's parenting that she could mention but that one seems an odd choice. (Although the flooring did seem overpriced)

I love Jorden, Chloe's mum is asking about more babies and he goes, "We'll see how the arse goes first" (ok, House but it totally sounded like arse!)

One thing that stands out this season is the huge difference in the incomes of the different families. It’s crazy to me that (I think it was in episode 1) Amber had to lend £100 from a friend to cover flooring and couldn’t afford a new school jumper and in that same episode Chloe was saying they had already spent £50k on renovations. Considering both are on the same show it’s crazy to think there’s such a huge difference between their money, unless Chloe’s is subsidised by parents but she did explicitly say “the renovations so far have cost me and Jordan £50k”.

I also think Manley has showed himself as the arsehole he really is this time round. Saying he can’t look after his daughter because he can’t take her to get her nails done etc?? I don’t how how on earth his mother can even defend him at this point he is an absolute joke.

Agree Sassi really needs therapy to get over Darren, I do wonder what she’s like when cameras aren’t on as she does seem really quite quick to anger.

I feel really sorry for Amber, of them all it seems like she has the least help from her co-parent and she does seem to be struggling.

Chloe - she's always grated on me but this season she is worse, I thought she went way overboard when her dad was poorly, yes it was cancer but he just needed an operation and was fine, all the crying into the camera and hand wringing around telling Marley and constantly asking him how he felt about grandad being poorly etc seemed so over dramatic. And her accent annoys me 😂

Sassi - She's absolutely lost the plot over Darren having another baby, she's clearly still in love with him and she's just embarrassing herself the way she is going on making out it's all worry about Zenay'a. Can't believe Darren has got a girl who lives in Amsterdam pregnant! Another waste of space.

Mia - I like Mia, she seems to do her best but has such bad luck, especially with men! She does jump in far too fast. She's a good Mum though and deserves a medal for trying to co-parent with that idiot. How he's got 3 kids I'll never know, he's an absolute child and his mum should be ashamed of him.

Amber - I think she needs to overhaul her life, she always looks like she needs a good wash and her house looks a mess too. She has no control over the boys and Steve is barely there to help, he never appears to have the boys with him for any length of time. I think she's completely overwhelmed and is barely coping.

I also felt for amber with the jumper situation. Her mum belittled her rather than helping or offering to buy one. I don't like her mum at all. Not very supportive.

I love how Jordan talks lol. He just let's chloe rant on. I do think they get alot of help from the parents too.

Sassi is so angry. The last season got me when she shouted at zenaya for not spelling her name right and she was upset saying I've tried. Sassi does have a nice house though.

Mia is OK she's just so dizzy at times but did try with manley and he wasn't having any. He literally hates her! And she's even made comments about him being good looking 🤢

We're on season 10 now and by season 10 of Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 MTV had obviously paid they American mums an absolute fortune as they were buying big extravagant houses.
Do MTV not pay the UK girls much? Why is Amber struggling so much to even buy a new school jumper or pay to get her new floor fitted?

I couldn't believe what was coming out of Manley's mouth that episode! Why can't he take her for nails and hair, he doesn't need to get his done FFS! And what about taking her to other things the park or cinema. What a twat.

Agree that Sassi is definitely still in love with Darren. I like Darren and think he comes across as a good dad, but the whole baby in Amsterdam thing is a bit of a disaster.

Exactly. My dp paints our daughters nails, brushes her hair and attempts a pony tail. What does he think single dads do? He always had an excuse and always has his mum playing one off against the other

Chloe gets money from her parents I think. Or maybe she's been better at investing her influencer status than Amber who might be really bad with money.

I don't think Darren should even be allowed on TV, sassi needs to sort herself out with some therapy to move on from him for her and her child's sake.

Darren is no better than Sassi. He knocks up a girl who lives in the Netherlands and he's unlikely to be able to live & work there and he has a 50/50 custody arrangement in the UK. I don't see it working out.

He was vile to Sassi when they were together.

I don't know if it is poor casting, but I wish MTV UK had chosen a cast member without the name Amber. The Amber from the US series is quite well known (Teen Mom OG?), and I can't help but wonder if our perceptions of this UK Amber are tainted by the US Amber (with Gary). Every time they look at the UK Amber, I think back on the US one. Or was it intentional so that we would quickly warm to the UK Amber, with the name association.

I watch the US and U.K. ones.

I do wonder why Amber is so poor, when even Mia is driving around in a Mercedes! I think her boys are hard work with their ADHD needs but she always appears defeatist. I hate always seeing the youngest with a dummy in his mouth he must be 3 nearly 4! But then the tv cameras might also be there towards bedtimes. But I think she has the hardest life out of all them.

Manley is a massive pr*ck, he loves Mia still and is jealous of her. But it's sad they can't co parent.

Chloe has had a lot of parent help but she must get paid a lot with insta etc, 5k bedroom budget (with en-suite) driving a Range Rover!!!

Sassi is emotional and wants more from Darren. Why buy him £100s trainers for his birthday when he's having a baby with someone else, get some chocolate etc from Z. She thought the co parenting would dreamily continue where they would do the family things together but this now won't happen which she upset about.

I think Sassi and Darren were probably still sleeping together the whole time, maybe even after he got involved with this woman overseas. This would explain her anger at him now just not speaking to her any more.

Chloe and Jordan also both work in normal jobs (well Chloe certainly used to, not sure if her social media stuff is all she does now)

I don't think Amber works, it's never been mentioned if she does.

I don’t think they do actually anymore! I can’t remember if it was last season or even the one before that Chloe & Jordan were saying Jordan had also now quit his job to help her with her social media and editting videos because she was joking on about being his manager now!

Chloe does have more followers on Instagram and does Youtube but it still seems mad to me that Chloe & Amber who I assume get paid the same from the show are in such different financial states where Chloe can already be 50k down in renovations so casually and yet at the same time Amber can’t buy a school jumper.

Chloe is very career minded I think. Amber not at all so much. They have similar mindsets in "I want this, and I want it now" -Chloe with her houses, Amber with her flooring (hadn't bothered decorating prior, just decided she wanted new flooring and bought it) but Chloe has a much more mature head on her shoulders and is very focused.

I doubt they earn a huge sum from the show but some of them use it as a platform for other things.

Amber just doesn't seem to have been raised to have any aspirations at all, which is such a shame.

I think comparing Amber and Chloe is apples and pears.

Chloe seems to come from a middle class 2 parent family, she was able to stay living at home when she had her baby until they were in a position to buy a house. I'm sure she said they had family help and even a relative to loan money for flooring upgrades etc.

Amber iirc moved into a rented place when pregnant? So private rent, single parent with 2 children with aln is hard going. She didn't have the same leg up in life as Chloe.

Amber just seem so defeated all the time. I feel sorry for her and the kids tbh. I get the impression that she’s not very good with money so probably spends more than she earns.

If Amber’s in a rental why is she paying for flooring?
