I couldn't see a thread for the new series... anyone watching and want to discuss?

Agree I’m not sure the social worker thing was ever a real plan for Amber, but in fairness I don’t know when/where she could have found the time to do what she’d need to in order to get there. It doesn’t seem (from what we see anyway) that Ste actually has any proper set times with the boys, her mum I think works full time so couldn’t do regular childcare for her to attend college/placement type things, the friend we see her spend time with has children of her own so wouldn’t be able to do it, and with how tight funds are as it is for her I can’t imagine full time childcare/wraparound care for Brooklyn would be doable either.

It does seem that of everyone she has the least in terms of support.

Does Brooklyn have a,diagnosis of ADHD?
It seems like he has sensory issues with the chewing and both boys seem really hard work and I have a,severely autistic son myself so I understand how hard it can be but her parenting leaves a lot to bee desired too

If he has got a diagnosis he might get DLA ect so she could get care,'re allowance so she wouldn't be required to work.

He definitely went for testing a couple of years ago. Ste was dead against it, not wanting him to be labelled. Then they were both tested and Ste was also diagnosed woth ADHD and was really upset because suddenly so much of his own hard time at school started to make sense. It was quite well done as a story.

Did Sassi manage to finish her builders apprenticeship?

I think she's another one who does things on a, whim ,i don't think she thought it through and wasn't she doing eyelashes or something ?

It’s a shame none of the mums have been able to get some qualifications. I was really rooting for Sassi to become a builder, as I saw that as an opportunity for her to earn some decent money.

I'm actually shocked by what's allowed to be shown and MTV are willing to show. Darren shouldn't be on the show at all, sassi, amber and Mia should all be having some kind of help or intervention but they don't provide it.

Amber and Ste have both said he has both boys every weekend, which I think is unfair, but it's obviously none of my business.

It’s a hard thing to balance though. They want to show the young viewers the reality of having babies while very young.
It’s not realistic to show it being hard for a couple of years but a few years in owning a house, being able to renovations, go on holidays, have fancy cars etc.

But it’s also a hard watch when some of the girls have very little support when we know it doesn’t have to be like that and the show could provide good advice, connections, support and money.

What happened to Emma? She was dating a singer.

They weren’t dating at any point… but she had a second baby to him.

I'm puzzled by Manley’s holidays abroad ( didn't Maggie say, ‘youve been all around the world’), can't afford to take his daughter, yet is wearing a Moncler designer coat (£1300 upwards). Does he have a job to finance his lifestyle?

Feel really sorry for Amber’s DC’s. No effort, no expectations, no consistency. Sleeping on the sofa is ridiculous. No child is going to be calm in the day, with night after night of unbroken sleep.

Don't think any of them work! Chloe has sort fashioned herself into some sort of 'influencer' but who she's influencing with that annoying voice of hers I've no clue.

Sassy was doing a building, or was it plastering, apprenticeship but that died off.

I'm not sure why none of them work really, clearly MTV isn't paying the big bucks like the American version did.

She lives on the same street as my aunty and uncle in one of the new houses built where the school used to be.

Not sure many of the Dad's work either, Darren has a van with ladders and I think they said he was a roofer at one point?

Apparently Ste is unemployed at the moment. He has worked because in a previous serious he was laid off and they were worried about money. I don't know what he does though.

Well tonight's episode was interesting i can't see Mia really being Erin,s friend ,it looks like they have teemed up to piss Manley off ,do Aaliya and Marliya not see each other at Manleys ?
Anyway at least the girls get to be together .

I don't know but I would assume after all of Manley's complaining that he has three kids and he has girl children that he has them one at a time because he can't be expected to look after all three at once.

More evidence to that is when talking to his mum about taking all his kids on holiday he said he couldn't afford to take all three children on holiday plus pay for one of the mums to come to look after them.

Quoting my own post to say Jordan did give up work to help Chloe but he now works part time for her dad's business as well.

What's wrong with Manleys mum Maggie?
She keeps inferring she's been ill and what will happen if she's not around to facilitate contact with Marliya and Manley .

I think she had cancer before and she's worried it has come back because she's been feeling ill recently.

It appears that Manley has a dad with the same name who is a convicted drugs dealer.
If Manley is dealing, the production company should not be including Manley in his flash clothes. Feels they are turning a blind eye.
