I couldn't see a thread for the new series... anyone watching and want to discuss?

OP posts:

Sassi is getting on my nerves. She acts so hard done by, moaning she has zero help, when actually she has her mum, friends and is hardly a single parent when she has her daughter every other week.

I've just watched the episode where she fell out with her mum. I missed a bit but am I right in thinking that her mum didn't want to have zenaya but she dumped her on her anyway? So wrong to assume that's her right as her mum is a grandparent and should therefore have her. Not sure why she kept saying that she needed time to herself either as she has 2 whole weeks a month to herself!

Such an odd relationship with Darren though as we've seen in other series too where she's showered him with presents 'from Zenayah'. She's so desperate to buy his affection but passes it off as wanting him to spend time with his daughter.

Tmmtv · 23/11/2024 14:44

I honestly thought that by now they'd have stopped Darren being on it and if they did that he probably wouldn't give permission for their child to be on it and then they wouldn't have sassi on it either which would probably be better for her!

SparkyBlue · 23/11/2024 18:48

I do remember that Chloe was working for her dad at one stage and it looked like he owned a small factory or engineering type business so her family are possibly quite comfortable financially

If Amber’s in a rental why is she paying for flooring?

Quite

Quite

I thought this too. That landlord should be ashamed. The place needs gutting.

LessonsinChemistryandLove · 24/11/2024 01:02

I feel a bit sorry for Sassi. She’s clearly still in love with Darren and flies off the handle like mad. She needs a lot of therapy, she be difficult in a relationship with anyone tbh.
Amber comes across as quite lazy to me, I don’t know what it is but I find her quite and uncomfortable watch.
Manley is just vile. Why this women keep getting with him is unfathomable to me!

CellophaneFlower · 24/11/2024 01:33

I think the uncomfortable watch with Amber is that most of the time it feels like she's checked out. She seems to have zero control and just stands there defeated watching it all unfold. She used to have a bit of fight in her but that seems to have been totally knocked out of her.

Manley is disgusting and Maggie isn't much better condoning his behaviour. Have no idea why she went along as peacemaker (I'm only up to that episode) as she done bugger all apart from make Mia feel even more attacked. Also never has a mother given a child a more inappropriate name 😂 Manley gets angry as he knows Mia is right but is far too selfish to change his ways. His idea of being a good dad is providing the sperm then dumping the kids on his mum and using them as a weapon. Maggie enables him totally. I did laugh when he said he'd have Marlea 24/7... he's never there as it is! And the holiday thing "I can't take Marlea on holiday as then I'd have to pay for 3 kids" errrr yes.. that's what happens when you go round impregnating women you total dickhead. Then finishing off by blaming it on Mia for telling his daughter he'd gone away. There are not enough words to describe this complete and utter man-child. At least he speaks now though. He spent series 1-9 practically mute with Maggie speaking for him 🙄

LessonsinChemistryandLove · 24/11/2024 11:03

Oh gosh yes Manley is the most useless name he could have been given lol!

x2boys · 24/11/2024 17:20

Ah I have found my people
I agree Sassi needs to get over Darren ,and her friends Needs to point out to her how she is behaving and coming across, I think she surrounds herself with people who just agree with whatever she's says ,yes Darren's a bit of a prick ,but currently they have 50:50 parenting so she must have a lot of me time
Chloe has always been supported by her patents, at one point they were both employed at her Dad's business i think her family have been incredibly generous with their handouts enabling them to buy their house and do it up how they want it
I think Jorden has grown alot since the early seasons, Chloe is still irritating but marley seems like a well loved and well taken care of little boy so she, s doing something right
Mia has her head in the clouds ,thinking she csn write a book and making ££££,s from it her meeting her agent was just embarrassing ,and Manley ,is a huge Prick
Amber does her best but she's clueless and everybody just seems to have a go at her rather than try and help
Agree there is a huge disparity in what their American counterparts earn and what they earn but it does make it more realistic.

Mirrorxxx · 24/11/2024 17:38

I’m pretty sure I saw Darren and zenaya in asda a couple of weeks ago 😂
it’s interesting in tattle they all seem to love Darren but I thought he was horrific towards sassi when they were a couple

CellophaneFlower · 24/11/2024 17:48

Jordan has really matured. He's obviously had his issues but he's head, shoulders and the rest above the other so called dads. I do wonder if the other girls watch the show back and wish they had a Jordan!

I watched the aftermath of Mia v Manley earlier. Maggie gets more awful by the episode. Can't believe Manley's excuse for not having Marliya full time is that he can't do her hair in the mornings and do girl things... as if that's all Mia is good for. And he said he's even mentioned to Marliya about living with him, so messing her head up unnecessarily yet he went mad at Mia for telling her he'd gone on holiday! My favourite bit was when he said he couldn't take Marliya on holiday as he'd have nobody to go with as his mates don't have kids (cue Maggie nodding furiously in the background). Has he not thought that once you have kids, holidays without them are practically a thing of the past?

I like Mia and think she's a great mum but how in God's name is she still finding Manley attractive, fresh cut or otherwise 🤷‍♀️. She practically admitted that she gets turned on by their drama so poor Marliya has many more years of this to look forward to 😔

x2boys · 24/11/2024 17:54

All three of Manley,s kids must be screwed up the ridiculous situation in the beginning where he had two baby daughters, 8 months apart by two mothers how do you explain that to the kids ?
And is he even with the mother ofchis 3rd child?

Were Mia and the other mum pregnant at the same time then? I can't remember now. He obviously even blames that baby on Mia as says it's her fault they broke up as she didn't want him anymore, so guess that was why he had to go and get someone else pregnant 🤦‍♀️

I mean as if the fact he calls her his baby mum isn't enough to send most people running for the hills anyway 🤮

So apparently Manley and Mia were in a long term relationship and they split up so Manley got together with Erin and she got pregnant with Aaliya ,Mia got jealous and before Erin had even given birth Manley and Mia got back together and she got pregnant with Marliyah ,she was about a month pregnant when Erin had Aaliyah
In the first Series ,it was like Manley was the prize that they both wanted to win 🙄

Thanks! I did watch it but had totally forgotten. Marliyah was definitely not an accident on Mia's part then (Manley clearly doesn't know what contraception is) and more a way of making sure Erin didn't have the ultimate bargaining chip 🙄

TENSsion · 24/11/2024 18:46

I get a feeling that the “ex” that came over to stay when Sassi was feeling down was Darren.

I just want to go and help Amber out. Get all her rooms decorated and deep cleaned. Get the boys a better routine. Get a financial support from Ste properly sorted (he doesn’t seem to pay anything). But more than anything, I want to give her mum a stern taking to. She’s always been a horrific source of “support”.

I often skip the Chloe and Jordan bits. They’re an oxymoronic mix of being smug and utterly miserable. They’ve had the most support out of any one on that show but make out they’ve done it themselves.

Mia is nice but absolutely delusional.

tothelefttotheleft · 24/11/2024 20:08

I'm sure Amber planned to be a social worker in the early series.

tothelefttotheleft · 24/11/2024 20:08

How do I find this on Now Tv?

x2boys · 24/11/2024 21:16

I'm sure Amber planned to be a social worker in the early series.

I think she did but I'm not sure she has the qualifications to pursue that given she had Brooklyn at 17 assuming she has GCSE,s she would need to complete a relevant level three course to get on the degree tbh I'm not sure what she lives on surely MTV pay them something but she talks about universal credit etc I'm not knocking her I'm just wondering how it works ?
Chloe also talked about being a midwife at one point, she also had Marley at 17 so I assume she would also need to complete a relevant level three course if she has GCSE,s ?Chloe seems to be doing OK as an Instagram influencer .

itispersonal · 25/11/2024 06:19

Should MTV not facilitate the mediation with mia and Manley with a counsellor? Have they done this before? They obviously can't do it between them, manleys mum can't do it. But is them arguing "better tv".

Chloe is a bit woe is me, but quiet goal orientated too. Also if she's not sleeping why is she trapped in the corner of the bed and not on the side she can get out of, poor Jordan. She can't sleep, so neither can he!

itispersonal · 25/11/2024 06:26

Also just said her dad was criticising her parenting. I think he was spot on, the child is reacting to a situation and need a consequence and love. Can you tell which episode I'm currently watching.

Amber could do with reading Kate Silverton's book- there's no much thing as naughty! As well as other books on parenting children with ADHD and so could her mum!

That doesn't make good TV, going off the American mom's, MTV ate not interested, in the kids at all just about what gets good viewing figures.

TENSsion · 25/11/2024 07:19

Manley and Mia have tried mediation through a counsellor.

CowTown · 25/11/2024 11:47

The social worker thing never seemed to be a “real” plan to me. I got the impression that Amber thought it might be a good idea, then had a conversation about what would actually be required education-wise, and then completely went off the idea once she realised what it would entail, including finding childcare arrangements (and that was when she only had one).
