Whoop. Finally it is here. I love these paradise programmes
BBC and its upcoming Death in Paradise (www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/death-in-paradise-season-14-release-date-bbc/) spin-off
Return to Paradise, which will whisk viewers away to the sunny shores of Australia.
The story follows DI Mackenzie Clarke (played by Anna Samson), who returns to her small Aussie hometown after years working in London for the Metropolitan Police for the last 6yrs after she fled the town after dumping fiancé Glenn at the alter (heartless woman lol)
She gets a less-than-warm welcome from those she alienated when she moved away, but a murder case that leaves the community stumped could be her pathway to redemption.
Her story will partly revolve around former love Glenn Strong (played by Tai Hara), who she abruptly left behind years ago, breaking his heart – can their relationship be salvaged when she returns?
She also left london under a cloud of suspicion
DI Clarke will be partnered up with Detective Colin Cartwright, played by British actor Lloyd Griffith (Ted Lasso (www.radiotimes.com/tv/comedy/ted-lasso-season-4-release-date/)), who appears to bring some comic relief, keeping the show firmly on
the quirky side – just like preceding entries in the Paradise family.
The supporting cast also includes Aaron L McGrath and Celia Ireland as Constable Felix Wilkinson and Reggie Rocco respectively, inhabitants of the idyllic, fictional town of Dolphin Cove.
It seems that Return to Paradise won't be skimping on the 'Paradise' element, with most of these images showcasing the stunning beaches and glorious weather of its Australian locale.
This is the second spin off from death in paradise
The first being beyond paradise with Humphrey in Devon
I hope this will be as good as love an easy watching murder and for an hour - 2hrs tax my brain 😂
