David was revealed to be the half-brother of Ian years earlier. David's mother is Walford icon Pat Butcher, while fans know Kathy Beale is Ian's mum. But Ian and David share a father, Pete Beale who died on the BBC soap in 1993, offscreen.

I had vague memories of David Wickes being Pete Beale’s son. But only very vague. Is David younger than Simon Wickes? And who is Steven’s dad - Simon Wickes? It’s all so messy 🤣

Pat and Peter Beale Senior had David
She had an affair with a bloke called Wicks and they had Simon
David was adopted by him
Peter Beale Sr then had Ian with Kathy so David and Ian share a father
Steven is Cindy and Simons son-she was with Ian and Ian brought him up
There was also a grim storyline when David was sexually attracted to his underage, but unknown to him at the time, daughter Bianca.
