Just binge-watched S3. What a ride!

Anyone else had a look yet?

There was an article yesterday in the Guardian about programmes that should have ended after one series and Industry was one of them. Pfffftttt!

I got half way through series 1 ages ago and just gave up because I thought it was daft (and a bit dull??)

only hopped on to it again recently when this new series was about to start- I'd quite forgotten it existed. and now I am glued to it. GLUED

BabaJaeger · 20/02/2026 09:55

...that said, I think this season has jumped the shark sooooo many times

but I don't care

dapsnotplimsolls · 20/02/2026 09:59

I don't think there can be another series without Eric, I assume this is the last one?

tennissquare · 20/02/2026 10:56

I think it depends on Jesse Bloom coming back for the next 2 episodes, the next series could be Jesse, Harper and Yas.

Good point.

Sorry, episode 3.

How bizarre… imagine if everyone from any Industry started writing to the BBC about how their career choice was portrayed in any comedy/drama?

Late to the thread but … weirdly as this show has gone I have become more and more intrigued/hooked despite -

Not liking any character. At all. They are all awful. Although I’m starting to see what a complex character Eric is, and

Not having a fecking clue what any of the finance stuff means. They could be speaking an actual foreign language for what I’m picking up 😄.

Imagine having the cash to have breakfast at Claridges before work tho 😄

Tinybigtanya · 20/02/2026 16:52

I was lucky enough to stay in claridges once and can confirm there was a smattering of “those types” at breakfast. Not hotel guests, just there to talk business.

BlanklyMyDear · 20/02/2026 18:35

Oh, that ONS complaint is hilarious!

My confidence in them is undermined far more by their belief that the Great British Public is too stupid to distinguish fiction from fact.

dapsnotplimsolls · 20/02/2026 18:46

The bit about the clothes - I don't think Sweetpea would appreciate being compared to a flight attendant!!!

Tootingbec · 22/02/2026 18:59

Oh my god I love Industry. The acting! The script! The characterisation! The plotting! Makes you realise what good telly looks like compared to some of the shite Netflix/Amazon pumps out (like that terrible thing with Suranne Jones as Prime Minister)

Worth watching the documentary on Netflix about Wirecard (called “Skandal!”) which this seasons plot is 💯 based on. There is a chilling moment where the neighbour of the patsy CEO (the Henry equivalent) spots some dodgy looking “heavies” (Russian goons basically) escorting the CEO to a car…..

BlanklyMyDear · 23/02/2026 07:40

7.40am is too early to be watching TV, isn’t it?

Not here. Just watched episode 7.. it’s a whole ride. 😉

I can’t wait to watch it later.

sunbum · 23/02/2026 11:06

watching now!

why aren't Henry and Yas living in the big country mansion anynore and why have Tender paid for a house for them? I missed that.

sunbum · 23/02/2026 11:26

And why ar they suddenly poor? I know he's out some onto buying tender stock but surley he has generational worth, there would be trust funds and multiple properties.

sunbum · 23/02/2026 12:55

Just consulted Reddit bibke and of course it all makes sense. Henry has allowances and spending money but Lord Norton controls the bulk of the family money, which is still his, and everything will be protected and ring fenced away from know addict, poor Henry.

I still dont understand what happened to their house though.

sunbum · 23/02/2026 15:23

Come on guys! Less working/childcare, more watching!

Need to discuss the episode 😄

BlanklyMyDear · 23/02/2026 15:53

Nothing has ‘happened’ to their house. They’re in London at the house Tender rented for them. (Though quite why the Mucks wouldn’t have their own London house is a mystery to me.)

Honestly, there were moments when I thought I might have a heart attack. Surely Kit Harrington must win prizes for (no spoilers) today’s episode?

JSMill · 23/02/2026 16:01

I thought everyone was on their top game today. I particularly enjoyed the phone conversation between the labour minister and Yasmin. That actress used to have a small role in Coronation Street so she’s come far!

Brooklyn70 · 23/02/2026 17:03

as a woman, the scene with the PM’s aide and Lisa made me sick to my stomach.

he was the one to walk into the meeting with Tender and pretty much say the PM wants this to happen.

aren’t there proper transcripts of meetings?

or do politicians know they just have to suck it up and resign once the press gets hold of a story?

My take on it is that I think they sold up because he had a ministerial gig (which probably had a grace and favour house) and after he lost the seat probably sold his constituency house. Yas trusted Henry with the proceeds of the house which of course he then used to buy tender stock. So now they have bugger all if the firm collapses.

i’m so sad I googled Whitney’s passport.. it’s Lithuanian.

I worked in a very male dominated industry and this sort of behaviour from Men was the norm…

Politics is a grubby business - just look at what’s happened today…
