I need to catch up with this - do I need to watch Christmas weird blood bank appeal episode to understand the storyline or was that completely stand-alone? I’m really not keen - I hate the episodes which lecture us about some aspect of the NHS’s work: that’s not what I watch a fictional TV drama for!

Just watched tonight's. Let me get this straight:

Indie is out with Iain and Teddy. Yep makes sense as first shift etc. Then Jan and Jacob arrive as second crew. Then driving back to A&E Jan is driving, Teddy is in the front, Jacob is working on the patient whilst trying to calm mum and Indie is also in the back. So Iain is now such a superhero he can drive an ambulance back with no support and a patient who has a gun!!!

And why was maroon scrubs man (haha can't remember his name) wandering through oncology when he'd been taking Sam the young GSW patient up to theatre and Rash said he was still in theatre!

I aren't even getting started on Jodie!!

I'm bored of Jodie, she adds nothing. Thought last night was ridiculous, how many nurses would actually do that in real life? It was obvious and predictable she was going to sleep with him the moment she went round there. They're making her into the Holby bike or lush (was she not still on duty?). And for God's sake mentioning Dylan after she had done the most unprofessional thing by sleeping with a patient's husband. That's now going to blow up in Dylan's face. Hope she leaves.

Why should Rash tell Tariq, it's not his place to tell him. The surgeon should know that. It's patient confidentiality anyway.

It was obvious they were going to assume Ian was hitting Faith, glad they didn’t drag that one out. Faith still needs to go. I’m not surprised Luca doesn’t want to live with her.

Also obvious that Jodie was going to sleep with him. Don’t get why they’ve turned her into a miserable cow. She started off as the only competent one when the new ones started.

The way the husband reacted when Jodie used the word “choice” when referring to how Dylan treated his wife is going to lead to a big bust up.

Especially as the start of the show reflected on the scene from last week’s show where the husband called out when he saw his dead wife in the hospital, “You were supposed to save them both….”

I see a criminal/GMC investigation into how Dylan managed the situation because he will be accused by the husband of Dylan making the choice to sacrifice the wife in favour of the baby, when actually there was an alternative “choice” that the husband thinks would have been the right one to take I.e one that could have saved his wife too.

Throw in all the guff about the NMC Code of Conduct and as well as Jodie having sex with the husband, she will also have thrown the NHS into dispute by accidentally inferring that Dylan made a mistake.

I'd find it very hard to to reply "you weren't supposed to drive into a restaurant at speed" to the husband as he runs around blaming everyone for his wife's death.

How long until it all because Jodie's fault he had sex with her at his wife's funeral?

Who else was quite surprised o hear Holby had a Code of Conduct, considering the way HR processes usually play out there. 🤣

Yeah they wanna be careful poking around in that - it could have all sorts of repercussions from notice periods of those leaving to not having any staff left thanks to all manor of gross misconduct.
