Is there no end to Mr Whitelaw's talents? He seems to have the combined skills of a consultant gynaecologist, orthopaedic surgeon, burns specialist, you name it. In fact, he's clearly the only surgeon in the entire hospital. I'm amazed he's got the energy to persecute young women.

purpleme12 · 10/05/2025 23:28

It's always like that on programmes though!

FagsMagsandBags · 11/05/2025 01:27

I was quite angry with Rida tonight. She totally disrespected Nicole who told her she could not add any names to the list and she could not make it public. Mere minutes later she does both because she knows best and she doesn't. Maybe get together with the women, or start a conversation toward doing what she alone decided was right so that they could have, as we say, their ducks in a row. She just outed the whole thing and while it won't all be ruined as she's decided to be a mole - that's going to be fun - and because the drama needs an arc before it succeeds and she'll learn that it's right to throw others under the bus and not that there are other ways and that it's not suddenly going to be better because she thinks she knows it all. How she'll manage to "mole" when she's unable to keep a secret for five minutes or be the most open in your face person ever - which I love in most nearly other circumstances and I genuinely like and admire her character and enjoy her screen time because I think she's a good actor too. I don't like where they took her character tonight. I'm glad Nicole knows what she's doing but mostly I'm hoping that it means we get Nicole back downstairs because I REALLY like her character. I hope they do a too quick to be real "cure" for Ngozi because they make a lovely couple and I'm hoping for good things. Before they fell for each other I had her set up for Dylan because there's a warmth to her that would totally open Dylan and she'd genuinely make him happy. But Ngozi and her feels right and once Obi sorts himself out - fingers crossed - all will be good and I'll find another woman who I think is right for him. No idea where they were going with him and psych because that was a bollocks from the start.

Definitely a good episode but please can we bin off Indie's dad asap. And it looks like Faith and Ian's wedding is going to be a bit thin on the ground when it comes to guests. You people have made me see a different Faith and I'm evil for giggling when they were talking about who isn't coming to the wedding.

Agenoria · 11/05/2025 09:27

Totally agree about binning off Indie's dad. I really can't sit through another storyline where old lag relative keeps turning up in main character's workspace begging for favours, generally resulting in main character doing bloody stupid things and getting into trouble.

I don't understand why there's no space for Rida in A&E when it was made pretty clear they would be left shorthanded when Whitelaw poached her.

purpleme12 · 11/05/2025 09:31

Must have replaced her

They don't show all the people who work in A&E

Just like all those surgical staff members who appeared in the office behind Nicole

MadisonAvenue · 11/05/2025 21:19

Rida has form for exposing issues, she was the whistleblower in the storyline about problems in the ED last year.

MarchWindsAnd · 14/05/2025 00:43

When I see Indie's father all I can think of is his previous life as Spider, Emily Nugent's nephew, in Coronation Street.

That's a programme I haven't watched for about a decade.

daffodilandtulip · 14/05/2025 06:56

No I haven't watched Corrie for 20 years but that's all I can think of! Really boring and old hat storyline.

What is rida playing at? She'd better not mess this up. This had potential for dealing with an important, sensitive issue well.

FagsMagsandBags · 18/05/2025 00:01

Bloody Eurovision.

daffodilandtulip · 18/05/2025 08:48

FagsMagsandBags · 18/05/2025 00:01

Bloody Eurovision.

Ha! Opened this thread to write those very words!

Decafflatteplease · 18/05/2025 08:58

Oh is it not on last night? I always watch on a Sunday catch up. When's it next on?

purpleme12 · 18/05/2025 09:01

Next Saturday

It was just off because of Eurovision

Agenoria · 18/05/2025 09:03

purpleme12 · 11/05/2025 09:31

Must have replaced her

But Whitelaw was saying effectively you won't be allowed to recruit a replacement.

purpleme12 · 18/05/2025 09:04

Ah things change all the time in Casualty land 😂

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/05/2025 11:13

I don’t get how rida could make the group open as she was added last

if in added to groups I can’t make public and send to people

she was naughty after Nicole asked her not to

but yes she was the whistle blower in “
last series so ……

poor obi Hope he’s going to be ok

stalker burns bloke but scary he was a stalker

just proves things aren’t always the way they look

and yes nose rings girls dad. Back again. Boring.

purpleme12 · 18/05/2025 11:18

Indie

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/05/2025 18:26

That’s the one. Thanks @purpleme12. I’m bad with names

MarchWindsAnd · 24/05/2025 18:30

I wish they’d stick to an approximate time for the broadcast. Sometimes it starts at 9:10pm or even later.
Tonight it starts at 8:10pm and will be finished by 9pm.

spiderlight · 24/05/2025 21:01

That was a powerful one. Of all the things he could have done to Rida.... 😢 Incredible performance by Sarah Seggari - she had me in tears.

daffodilandtulip · 24/05/2025 21:15

I'm amazed he's done the right thing!

hoarahloux · 24/05/2025 23:02

Ooooh that teacher was such a wrong'un. The way he spoke about the children he was supposed to be caring for made me bristle.

Rash is so good. I'm glad he's having a revival era.

Flynn - not a whole lot of sympathy for a serial cheater, but it's now more clear that he just isn't really in love with his wife any more, and I hope he admits that to himself soon. The phonecall at the end was too little too late. Rida has already shut that whole thing down and she won't talk about it again. A huge trauma for her, Sean's out of the picture, she can't go back to surgery. Poor Rida. I felt her violation seeing her hair for the first time. Sarah Seggari's acting was impeccable. She absolutely broke my heart. Flynn has done the right thing, but far too late.

Wonder what's next for Rida. I hope back to the ED.

ThatsNotMyTeen · 25/05/2025 13:45

Poor Rida 😥

purpleme12 · 27/05/2025 23:30

Ooof that ending

purpleme12 · 27/05/2025 23:32

daffodilandtulip · 24/05/2025 21:15

I'm amazed he's done the right thing!

I really didn't think it would end like that!
