I know Robert Bathurst is horrid in this and impressed with his acting because he's lovely in real life so I'm really having to shift watching him but he's creeping me out on screen more and more.

I'd like Rida to get with Rash. Not because of shared religion, though that never hurt a relationship but because I think they would be so good for each other and bring out their best. Surgeon boy is too weak for her. Age difference is a bit big with Rash now, but a few more years and it won't be. Friends, to really good friends to there you were! Slow burn.

FagsMagsandBags · 27/04/2025 01:58

The Rida scene was horrible. Obviously good in that it was done so well and I felt almost a cold sweat coming on as I watched but horrible because they really captured the moment for me and I've been there. Again, it was a really good episode tonight.

Doubleraspberry · 27/04/2025 06:30

I thought it portrayed really well how sexual harassment affects performance, and the impact it then has on a woman’s career as a result (although obviously in this case there was bullying at play too). Something I was thinking earlier in the day as I read Gregggg’s whinging about how hard it has been to be accused of being someone who has spent much of their career ruining the careers of others with his actions.

@FagsMagsandBags I was once treated in urgent care by someone who knows the nurse who clinically advises Casualty and they said, jokingly, that they have to avoid the subject as so much of it is madness to watch.

daffodilandtulip · 27/04/2025 08:12

Disappointed that Nicole just brushed her off, after being the one to warn her in the first place. Those pair could take him down!

Agree, would love to see Rida and Rash together.

The last person you'd want to see after waking up from major surgery with no womb, would be Faith. I do not understand why those two are friends.

Also, not enough credit is going to the lovely Dylan for keeping boss man in check.

EBearhug · 27/04/2025 08:35

Disappointed that Nicole just brushed her off, after being the one to warn her in the first place.

That was infuriating - just iisten to her!

purpleme12 · 27/04/2025 08:36

Always happens on programmes doesn't it!

Doubleraspberry · 27/04/2025 08:49

There is NO WAY in real life that Rida wouldn’t have carried on telling her what she wanted to say. The pacing of the scene wasn’t fast enough to even make Nicole’s interruptions make sense, let alone Rida’s silence.

100% agree.

And surely, in real life it would have been completely obvious to Nicole what Rida was going to divulge seeing as it was Nicole who had warned Rida!

I was really let down by it all.

I get they want to make it into a drawn out storyline but the writers have disappointed me already.

InALonelyWorld · 27/04/2025 11:08

I feel Nicole's reaction was probably based on Rida's dismissive and quite nasty comments to her last week about high standards and being wrong.

I've seen it happen irl when someone dismisses and criticises the warnings but then expects their help when something happens to prove those warnings right.

spiderlight · 27/04/2025 17:25

@FagsMagsandBags - I do the same! I'm on a medication that gives me a resting heart rate in the high 120s at least, so whenever they declare someone tachy at 100, I think 'Amateur!' 😆

FagsMagsandBags · 27/04/2025 17:30

I had about 10 minutes at 84 last week and the community nurse and I stared at my finger thing like we had seen actual magic. Thing is 84 felt no different to 124 which I'm sure you totally get.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/05/2025 06:24

Rida would have def said something while chatting to her

he did a right pervy let me rub my Willy while I stand behind you performing surgery

perve !!

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/05/2025 06:25

Poor Stevie as well. The mass they removed looked huge

indie trying so hard but messing up all the time

so desperate to get low mine calls that a lady nearly died

hoarahloux · 03/05/2025 20:43

Rida :(

LIZS · 03/05/2025 22:12

Surely Stevie should not be moving around at pace, let alone carrying luggage when a week after major abdo surgery. Rida’s story is going to be seriously dragged out and Flynn is ironically probably the right person to talk to.

stampin · 03/05/2025 22:43

If you take someone home after emergency surgery and a stay in hospital, surely you go in with them and check the fridge, make sure they've got everything they need?

Opening the car door is really not enough.

Littletreefrog · 03/05/2025 22:45

Surely Flynn should have listened to Rida first then told her he couldn't deal with it as it would be a conflict of interest but he would pass the information to someone who could. He doesn't even like his Father in Law.

NorthernGnashers · 03/05/2025 23:07

Wasn't Cara's character lovely in the latest 2 episodes? She was so dignified and serene, I really hoped she would make it home. At least there is hope that Stevie will make a full recovery.
Ahem . . . the scene where Iain gave Stevie a lift home, will these 2 characters develop a romance? Stevie sent Faith packing, which i can understand. I remember when Faith was addicted to drugs and faked that she had ovarian cancer.

I think Stevie wanted to be alone.

longtompot · 03/05/2025 23:29

I didn't move as well as Stevie after my hysterectomy, especially the first week!

Aside from that, I loved her this week and what she did for Olive and her mum. It was heartbreaking.

I thought Rida knew what Cameron had been through but clearly not. I hope she gets to say something about the creepy surgeon.

I hope the story about Ngozi and her son pans out well

purpleme12 · 03/05/2025 23:29

It was a hard watch tonight

purpleme12 · 03/05/2025 23:31

No I don't think Ian and Stevie will develop a romance

purpleme12 · 03/05/2025 23:33

I guess the reason Ngozi turned to alcohol was because she was trying to hide who she was in her own country because it's seen as so shameful
And she knew she couldn't do it there

spiderlight · 03/05/2025 23:40

Cara was a lovely character. I wish they'd managed to get her home. The girl playing Olive was amazing too.

I knew Indie would end up at Jan's! She was excellent on that running call. I hope they give her character a chance to develop as a proper paramedic with a bit less chaos now.

ThatsNotMyTeen · 03/05/2025 23:55

I was crying my eyes out at Cara and Olive
