I didn’t know babies stayed in prison with their mothers past the first few months. Not sure how it works but surely not ideal for a toddler to be in that kind of restrictive environment. The child would be 3 or 4 I think?

I also have no idea why it makes sense for Martin to be in the picture. Except it allowed Sharon to look at him in the photo with a worried and perplexed expression in the last episode😂

The photo with Martin has been on display in Sharon's home for quite some time, I always notice it and wonder her reasoning for that photo. Sharon is obviously fond of it and whoever packed her bag must have grabbed it on the way out.
I liked the end scene but the whole week was dire, I can't believe this was the best storyline they could come up with.
I think Ruby has been out of prison for a while so she won't be in the mum and baby unit. Perhaps Martin goes looking for her

How did Sonia get into a mother and baby unit? She hasn't even been to trial yet so on bail?

@Eastie77Returns Ruby left in Sept 2021 (seems longer!) so the baby would be around 2 and a half. I thought the baby only stays with the mother a few months, don’t know what happens then - fostering?

I don’t know why Sonia is in a m&b unit when she’s about 7 weeks pregnant, but you aren’t given bail when charged with murder so she would be banged up.

I always felt Ruby was a bit of a pointless character. And her head is perfectly egg shaped.

Ruby has no family at all as both parents and sister are dead. So I guess baby could have been fostered but in that case surely she would have preferred him/her to go to Martin. Anyway if she reappears I'm sure that will all be glossed over. Perhaps she was released early for good behaviour so the baby was never behind bars. I don't think her crime was that bad but can't remember exactly what she did beyond framing Stacey for something.

Ruby's exit was quite a confusing plot. She framed Stacey who got a year in jail (I assume that was one of Lacey's maternity leaves?). Jean knew, and then framed Ruby for something to do with growing cannabis (for Louisa's maternity leave!) I vaguely remember cannabis in the Slater's garage?

Ruby would have only got 2 or 3 years and she would only serve half of it, so she could have been out before the baby was a year old. (Although this is EE where Chrissie got 19 years!)

I liked Ruby 'the business woman' , but they have to turn them into crazed characters who end up being horrible or in jail
As happened with her.
I know they had to write Stacey actress out for mat leave , but it was a nasty storyline with the cctv
The cannabis growing was strange too!

I liked Ruby too (I didn't much like her first stint, but I liked the last one). I was on her side rather than Stacey's, I can't remember why now but I think Stacey was being a cow 🤔

Ruby did frame Stacey though
She was rumbled eventually, but she doctored the CCtv footage at first

Didn't their vendetta start because Stacey had robbed Ruby of a lot of money? (And being Stacey, wasn't even sorry 😆)

Yes, I do think that Stacey ' started it ' but can't remember why ! Stealing from Johnny Allen's daughter isn't a good idea though !! 😆

I think Stacey was feeling put out and jealous because Ruby and Martin had started seeing each other and that prompted the theft.

Stacey's going to be really fed up when Ruby returns with the baby!
Although Stacey's had years to get back with Martin and still hasn't, she doesn't seem bothered about him now.

Martin is a miserable one, no wonder nobody wants him.

I love the way they say Navin is 'tipped for exit" - well yes, Nish is dying! Although as Suki said, not fast enough.

I think he's going to do something dramatic with his properties. There have been aerial photos of the Vic dressed for what seems to be Elaine's wedding, and the minute mart is boarded up. (Look at that wedding car!)

Why did Gina go straight to adoption when Anna said she doesnt want this baby?

Surely at this stage (and having had one herself in Spain) she would have thought termination? I'm not judging, people can do what they like with their own bodies.

Did Gina have a termination too?
Not seen todays one yet , I suppose Bobby will not agree with an abortion , but hard to know what his thinking half the time

I’m surprised Nish is leaving because he’s such a good character so I was expecting some last minute transplant. But I read the actor’s quit. There’s going to be a fire in the autumn so perhaps Nish will perish in that.

Nish always seemed like a limited-term character to me, much like Zainab's abusive husband Yusef (he died in a fire!)

Priya was working in the minute mart the other week, not sure who else works there.

A fire at the mini mart then I am guessing and the boarded up front we see in that photo. All those old magazines won't stand a chance.
I did read that Nish starts messing around with the books at their various businesses, so maybe everything will collapse around them.
I'm sure it'll be like the caf and all rebuilt in no time too.
