It was very far fetched that he would have such strong feelings for Cindy after nearly 27 years (or however long ago that was! )
That recording will definitely by played out at the wedding ( is my total guess )

He'll twig that Cindy had the affair with Junior then too. Oh dear

How the recording will be played out is a conundrum. Maybe Elaine will ask for ' birdsong ' as they let some doves go or something a bit 'new age' like that and instead it'll be Cindy and David arguing and her admission she still loves George ! Duf duf duf.
Anyone have any ideas ?

I wondered why David mentioned Joe when he came back (he told Bianca she was just like Joe and I had to wrack my brains to remind myself he had a son!). I haven't seen the latest episode yet but am sad to hear he has left already. I guess it would just get way too messy even for Cindy to have him around.

She really is awful but I can see why so many men fall at her feet. I think she's actually become more attractive with age.

Cindy dresses well and I can also see her allure
Most men would have asked Junior who this mystery woman was , another reason soaps are completely unrealistic! I suppose he could have made up a name though tbf.
Is he still married to the lady in Dubai ? Junior doesn't mention his son either ( can't remember either name !)
George didn't mention them either.

Didn’t Anna and Freddie just want to check out the device hence why they were in the pie shop after failing to get silence during a party at the Vic? I’m expecting that they’ll listen back to it and all will be revealed, which will lead to much angst and terrible acting from Anna.

Freddie is going to listen to it and freak out because of the implications for Anna. They'll fall out over it somehow.

Or they'll play it in front of a big bunch of people not realising whats on the tape.

Agree that Anna will go into meltdown over all this and surely ( surely ) Ian will ditch her
I don't like Ian much ( who does !) but enough now. Especially once ' bird gate ' hits them all

I agree the recording will likely play a part in the wedding next month. Poor Elaine could be heading for a winter of pure misery,

"Wouldn't it be lovely to have birdsong as we walk down the aisle George? Anna could you sort that out for me please?"

Oh yes, the one church where all the weddings / funerals /christenings are held will be the back drop for more drama and a punch up !

Even worse , after not ( probably) marrying George , it seems Linda might be on her way out too! Poor Elaine..

As much as people don't like Cindy, it's nice to see older people with the big storylines like this rather than the younger less established actors. Plus it's usually Sharon who gets these types of ' triangle ' type stories ( I know this is bigger than 3 people , but you get my drift !)
Recording illicit things is a bit old hat, but I suppose they have to find a way around the confessions etc. Plus it'll be a re run of Sharon gate ( sort of)
I'm surprised Cindy still loves George though. I really thought she'd moved on and he was more of a friend.

Junior's son is called Xavier. He mentioned him months ago when he called in for his birthday but otherwise doesn't seem interested. I didn't undestand why the wife just moved back to Dubai with no job etc.

What happened with Junior's business that George invested in? He is always in a smart suit and nice car but never seems to be at work. And neither does Peter who is meant to be working for him.

I loved seeing David back ,and the touching scenes with Bianca,I can't believe he's gone already ..I'd love it if he came back permanently and got together with Cindy ,and if Joe returns to ,that would be amazing.
Why George is with Elaine I have no idea ,she looks like his mother ,that's a bad match ,and makes me think they are basing her on Angie watts ..
But Cindy and Ian do not go together at all ,and hopefully that affair with junior comes out soon ..tbh I think junior is a pointless character who doesn't fit in .
But better than that bloke Sonya is seeing,he's a complete drip

I'm absolutely loving these old characters coming back ,at first I thought it was ludicrous bringing Cindy back from the dead ,but seeing her with David ,it was. Like old EastEnders.
Haven't really taken to George and Cindys children,the girls don't fit,but George is a great addition to EastEnders

Can't believe a year ago we were speculating on 'The Six' storyline and who the victim was!

Has the actress who plays Sonia left the show permanently?..I read somewhere she was ill or something.
I think the actress who plays Linda has a child with SEN and is struggling to get an appropriate school ,if she's leaving at Christmas,maybe that's why .
Although that would be a shame .
So with the six storyline..is that it ..the end of it ..?glad Bernadette left , didn't like her character at all at the end

Junior is often seen on a laptop in the pub , but what he actually does for a living I've no idea
I'm shocked that George didn't mention his wife / son , but people do speak in riddles sometimes on EE and never say what most people would.
Today Cindy disappeared for ages , yet hardly anyone missed her and nobody asked where she was. Well, not in an interested fashion anyway! I feel that Ian is only doing these big gestures to prove he still has it with Cindy and can ' have a woman ' around. He does love her , but he must know by now she doesn't love him at all. (I feel even the dumbest of people would realize this! )

The Sonia actress had a job with channel four apparently, but it's not permanent.
I saw that on Facebook that she was poorly , but often it's just clickbait or false, but not sure in this case..

Did anyone well up seeing Paul Nichols/ Joe? Or just me? I am a bit menstrual right now and had twigged earlier on when his name kept coming up but actually seeing him on camera made me emotional 🤣
I think partly because of Joe’s story and also because in real life Paul has had a great deal of difficulty, it was nice to see him looking good on screen, I love seeing all the oldies back, when David turned up I was expecting Ricky, hope he’s in it, I can’t remember what happened to half of them and stopped watching for years so not sure who’s dead or alive in ee now!

George fits perfectly and he comes across as a really good guy. I’m glad he’s been (mostly) loyal to Elaine.
i guess all the Cindy David junior stuff will hit the fan at Christmas alongside something heinous from Reiss

Does anyone know if David is coming back in a bit ...I so hope we see him again...I may ...have a teeny tiny crush on him ...

Are we getting lots of old characters doing cameos for some reason? I like it.
Was it actually Paul Nicholls?

The chap who plays David is a really good actor. So is Patsy Palmer I think. And Michelle Collins has excelled herself in tonight's episode. I think Junior is rather attractive also. Am loving EastEnders at the moment.

I think the cameos are for the run up to the anniversary.
Tonight's episode was pure nostalgia.
David is excellent, I hope he comes back and brings Joe with him.
