Tasha is a beautiful person but comes across as a bit of a dry lunch and is a ringah
would like to see Chris and Pete through to the final
JB has had new life breathed into him by Lauren

NorthernGirl1981 · 01/12/2024 07:41

I think the final should be Pete, JB, Chris and Sarah…….although it should be Montell instead of Sarah.

I hope the ultimate outcome is that the BBC realise we don’t want to see Ringers win, we are voting for the people who are trying their best at a new skill and therefore they are the ones who deserve to be recognised.

I imagine the fact that Tasha has been in the DO has already alerted everyone though to what and who the public value.

I think Chris will win and deservedly so.

I think whoever said the final would be JB, Tasha, Chris and Pete is right. Chris will win. He’s my winner. It’s not about who the best dancer is for me, it’s about who I connect with. Throughout thats Chris and Pete. I do like jab though. He’s become much stronger since Lauren took over. That must be hard for Amy to watch.

I would agree with all of this. Chris has improved so much, as has JB. Perhaps Amy hadn't quite recovered enough, or perhaps she started work that Lauren was able to accelerate.

NoWordForFluffy · 01/12/2024 07:46

I think Chris and Dianne are amazing. To get him to dance to the standard he is, is a phenomenal achievement. When you look back to the first programme and the group dance they did, he looked wooden, awkward and like a fish out of water. Strictly is meant to be about getting total non-dancers to dance, and he's achieved that and then some.

LochKatrine · 01/12/2024 07:49

Chris was hunched over, and now his posture is good, his timing is excellent, and he's so brave! So many moves and steps could lead to collision and trips, but he just goes for it.

ChannelFiveDrama · 01/12/2024 09:32

I have given all my votes each time to Chris and would love him to win.

And Dianne deserves it too.

Spoiler - Tasha v Montell in the dance off, Montell eliminated, according to Dave Thorp.
Shame because I liked Montell and Jojo and thought they did well and there was real progression.

Oh! I called this ! Shame for Montell but her time had come. Personally, would have rather seen Tasha go.

Yes, me too, but the judges really rate Tasha.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 01/12/2024 10:45

Poor montell - she looked so defeated in her VT before they’d even danced. I can’t imagine her strictly experience has been very joyous….

Funny that, given that she is a trained dancer... Just like Layton last year, could do no wrong in the eyes of the judges, especially Craig.

A dry lunch. Not heard that before but I know exactly what you mean and I agree. Just boring.

thankyouforthedayz · 01/12/2024 11:30

Sorry I'm sure this has been done to death, but both Sarah and Tasha have had significant dance training. Sarah attended Laine Musical Theatre school when she would have studied dance, singing and acting. Tasha I think is a 'Commercial' dancer. I guess JB danced about a bit in his performing career, but Pete and Chris are new, as was Montell, who was the best of the non dancers in my view.

thankyouforthedayz · 01/12/2024 11:31

Yes I wish Tasha had gone.

It's hardly surprising that the judges give higher scores and better comments to the better dancers. That's very much their job.

Lentilweaver · 01/12/2024 11:49

Pete will be in the final. Sigh. I dont even want to picture his showdance. Sarah or JB will likely go next week.

mydogisthebest · 01/12/2024 11:50

Sad that Montell left. She looked so down last night.

Pete should have been in the dance off but it seems likely he will make the final. If he really has the massive vote people think he does he might even win.

EsmaCannonball · 01/12/2024 12:13

Pete is the worst dancer to get this far in ages, and I am not a fan, but if someone is escaping the dance-off from the bottom of the leaderboard at this stage it means a lot of the audience is getting something out of watching them.

If that is true then fair enough. I vote for my favourite and, not necessarily, the best dancer but a lot of people seem to think people are voting and not even watching the show.

virgocatlover · 01/12/2024 13:38

I don't mind Pete getting this far or even to the final if his fans want to watch him. But it will be a travesty if he wins as he really hasn't had much of a 'journey' or even any stand out 'wow' moments.

BehindTheSequinsandStilettos · 01/12/2024 14:15

He won't win, same as Joe Suggs didn't (although he might have, had he and Dianne admitted they were an item before the final rather than after. I'll always admire them for that).
I'll be astounded if Chris doesn't win it. He'll reprise his CC and his waltz and do a Smoothesque showdance. He's got it in the bag.

The only "wow" moment for me with regard to Pete, was seeing him yesterday with his hair looking neat, and in a crisp white shirt and good trousers.
He actually reminded me of my ex-husband.

He usually looks so greasy. And I can't bear those tattoos.

But I quite like him, and won't begrudge him getting to the final. He's obviously popular.

That's what I am saying though, people are saying that a lot of his votes are from people not even watching Strictly but just voting because they like him or are being asked to by his friends.

I don't want him to win and hopefully he won't

I thought Joe Suggs did win? Who won that year then?

Stacey Dooley won in 2018.
The live tour however, someone said he won every glitterball!

MouseMinge · 01/12/2024 16:24

I'm pissed off that Montell has gone and Pete remains. I get it. He's getting a higher public vote than her but I don't agree that he's good to watch. Maybe he is some of the time but how can anyoen say that about last night's dance that was a mess of errors and mediocre movement around the dance floor. Week four at best is not a good look in the quarter finals. Anyway, rant over. He's through to the semi-finals where he'll have to do two dances and I'm looking forward to neither. I hope to goodness that he won't get to the final because there's not a dancer there that deserves to leave before he does but that's been the case for a couple of weeks so I'll just have to suck it up with a sour face.
