Interesting result.
I thought that Sam would be in trouble but I'm surprised about Montell.

Lentilweaver · 02/11/2024 23:31

Chris is going to win the whole thing, I think.

Yes, unquestionably.

MouseMinge · 03/11/2024 00:01

I don't like that dance off at all. I knew Sam had limited time left but hoped she'd be safe this week. I knew Pete wouldn't go tonight but I wanted it to be him. I hate that Montell was in the dance off. Hey ho.

MouseMinge · 03/11/2024 00:03

And we're now down to three women who are arguably the best dancers on the show this year. It's all a bit sucky. We, the public, are a bit rubbish.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 03/11/2024 05:35

Surprised at Montell in DO. Can’t watch where I so relying on spoilers for next couple of weeks.

virgocatlover · 03/11/2024 07:47

I thought Sam would go this week, Pete is popular with the public.

Montell didn't deserve to be in the DO but she isn't very well known and her dance was quite forgettable.

Lentilweaver · 03/11/2024 08:03

There are at least 5 mediocre men worse than Montell or Sam still in it. I guess thry will all make it to Blackpool.
I almost want an all male final just so that the Strictly bosses and judges wake up.
An 8 for that terrible rumba!

LochKatrine · 03/11/2024 08:03

Maybe people thought Montell would be safe? She's been doing well. I think Pete is popular, so people wanted to save him.

mydogisthebest · 03/11/2024 08:37

Quite sad that Sam and Nikita left. I like both of them and enjoyed their dances.

I would rather have seen Wynne, Pete or even Chris leave.

It seems likely Chris will win but he shouldn't unless he improves massively. Last night and last week his dances were pretty rubbish

I think Tasha and Sarah are both destined for the final, I can't see either losing a dance off unless it's against each other.

Sarah seems to be catching up with Chris now in the polls

KnottedTwine · 03/11/2024 09:02

Agree that it should have been Pete and Wynne in the dance off. Or one of those two, against Sam,

LochKatrine · 03/11/2024 09:10

I think Chris started really well, and surprised people with his determination. However, I don't think he's improved particularly, which isn't really a criticism bearing in mind that he can't watch Dianne or see himself in the mirror.
People do like to see a journey, though, so I can understand support for him and Sarah over someone like Jamie.

I agree. Chris started off brilliantly and I was amazed that a blind person could do so well.

He hasn't really improved that much though and his last 2 dances have not been good which is why he was at the bottom of the leaderboard.

I will be disappointed if he wins

NCTDN · 03/11/2024 09:33

I've not been on this thread before but am out tonight so won't see the results. How do you know who's out ? Is it from people who were in the audience ?

Yes, there's a guy called Dave Thorp who has a spoiler website. He has a couple of moles.

Yes, I agree. It's been an incredible challenge for him and he's been great, but I think possibly reached a plateau.

Yes in this case someone who was at the recording is on the Digital Spy Spoiler thread on their Strictly forum - they've been pre-vetted by long time forum members so we know they're not just making it up. (There are a lot of random alleged spoilers on Twitter every Saturday night).

There's also a for-profit site called The Strictly Spoiler run by a bloke who's also on Digital Spy, he uses the same audience sources and another mysterious source (presumably in TV production) that comes in in the morning if all else fails.

JamMakingWannaBe · 03/11/2024 10:24

A surprise result maybe but not a shock.
I normally love Montell but something was off with the styling this week which didn't help. She looked like a 1950s housewife in a posh frock. The dress itself was lovely but it didn't scream "Whitney". She'll bounce back next week.
Of all the TS songs in the world, that's one of the most wishy-washy - as was Sam's routine.
Both Shayne and JB had unnecessary "jacket-ography". Please don't faff with your costume - just dance.
Sarah's was, again, the dance of the night.

KnottedTwine · 03/11/2024 10:28

JB had couples choice which always scores highly, and he was great. I think he'll be safe for another few weeks. I am not fan of wafty barefoot contemporary but Tasha is a very competent dancer.

Next three to go SHOULD be Pete, Wynne and Shayne.

LochKatrine · 03/11/2024 10:32

Tasha is a very good dancer, the barefoot comtempo waft was excellent. However, CC always scores well, especially when it's accompanied by a tearful story.
I agree that Wynne, Shayne and Pete should be the next to go.

Lentilweaver · 03/11/2024 10:33

Chris's tango was way worse than Punam's.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 03/11/2024 14:52

I don't really understand the depth of feeling against Wynne. He seems to throw himself into every dance, is obviously enjoying himself and is light on his feet with great timing. He seems much more sure footed than Pete and perhaps equal to Shane, but I find Wynne's dances more memorable. Is it because of all the hands business in week 2 or 3? The fact he was the annoying Go Compare man? The age difference between him and Katya that people find a bit sleazy?

I started off loving Chris and still think he's great, but his humour is now seeming a bit forced and he's definitely not at the same level as the others posture-wise. It's incredible what he and Diane are doing, but should he win? Not sure about that.

LochKatrine · 03/11/2024 15:42

Yes, I think Wynne has done really well. I thought last night's was great at the Mrs Doubtfire dance was so entertaining!
