Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can also read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Penny was about to say about the fire exits but was interrupted by Chelsea.
Cindy and junior are ridiculous
She said she was ill ( as usual ) yet sneaking around a few meters from the pub where you are bound to be seen! It's almost as if she wants to be found out.
Who is Angela George is speaking about ?
Are his brothers half brothers ?

Southeastdweller · 26/08/2024 10:21

Angela was a friend of George’s biological mother (and played by someone who looks roughly the same age as George). She appeared in a few episodes earlier this year. George shares the same two parents as his brothers.

Ahh, yes I remember her now.
One of the brothers ( Kojo) has autism I read in the tv guide. They are not aware of the background of their dad's death apparently.

Bluesandwhites · 25/08/2024 16:40

@Shellingbynight Yes, it would have been messy had the police arrived and 2 bodies lying on the pub floor !

Did Linda commit murder? Personally I don't even see it as manslaughter, as she was in the moment, trying to stop Keanu from strangling Sharon, it certainly wasn't pre meditated. The worst she is guilty of, along with the rest of the Six, is lying to the police/covering up/perverting the course of justice.

To me it was a sort of self defence, as you say not even manslaughter. But - all so messy!

(I haven't watched today's episode yet.)

usernother · 26/08/2024 11:25

Today's episode was a good (but actually bad) ending!! Eeeek.

the80sweregreat · 26/08/2024 11:45

I hope nobody dies, although it didn't look good for Bobby or Amy :(
Surely they would be sued for having the fire door blocked?
Chelsea will be in big trouble although she needs to change the lap top over from 180 to 80 people, if she remembers in all the chaos!
I think George's brothers will be upset hearing about their dad. It was a sad storyline.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/08/2024 15:01

I watched todays (and this is Spoiler Thread )

Why would Penny only have one man on the door ?
The Junior/Cindy smirking and catching each others eye is certainly getting tedious .
Well done to Chelsea for telling Penny to sod right off ( in Not So Many Words)
No way would they pass for 18 ( well Avani would but she's 25 if she's a day)

Ian , having flown transatlantic then the journey from Gatwick or Heathrow to Walford sitting in the Cafe with his suitcase . You'd want to go home ( across the Square) , dump your stuff then get your cuppa tea

lazymum99 · 26/08/2024 15:29

Today’s episode was quite scary and realistic for once. Really got a sense of the crowd and the crush.
george said that his brothers know of the circumstances of their father’s death.

lazymum99 · 26/08/2024 15:30

Does anyone know why they zoomed in on Sonia’s ID card?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/08/2024 15:44

My DD reckons that someone will steal the ID Card , the old wire through the letterbox thing .
So maybe someone will steal Sonia's ID and use it to conduct malice aforethought . Though as Sonia never does any bloody work that would be an immediate flag on the system. The Panesaar Surgery doesn't have that many patients and they'd all recognise Sonia . Unless someone can blag things ?

And the doors are never locked so you wouldn't need the wire through the letterbox .

More likely to remind us , the dear viewer , that SuperSonia couldn't possibly be responsible for Debbie.s murder as they keep say "She's lovely , sweet , caring , she's A Nurse "

the80sweregreat · 26/08/2024 17:52

I love how Chelsea bought one small lime and a strand of mint ( going by that very small bag !)
It was good she flounced as she missed the crush.

BingoNight · 26/08/2024 20:11

The crush was scary and felt realistic!
Could Chelsea be accountable if someone was badly injured or die if the police found out the invitation numbers were increased to 180?
How are Cindy and Junior going to get out with being discovered?
I like Cindy in EE, I always find her watchable so I hope she stays in the show but can't see how if they're found out.

the80sweregreat · 26/08/2024 20:30

I don't mind Cindy tbh
She is a bit naughty 👿
😂
But her affair with Junior is a tad annoying

MichaelAndEagle · 26/08/2024 21:38

Even though what Chelsea did was bad, the venue should still have stopped people coming in when reached capacity and had emergency exits clear. So I don't think its really Chelsea's fault.
The doorman should have had a clicker thing to monitor numbers, and not relied on Zack's walkie talkie!

Shellingbynight · 27/08/2024 08:17

There are quite a few characters I wouldn’t mind being crushed to death, first on my list is Penny.

I am not sure why Chelsea seems to be held solely responsible, it looked really badly organised. An incompetent bouncer, useless comms, and the fire exit blocked by a bin.

Patrick was the best thing about that episode - how does someone that age have so much energy!

I thought the ID card was just so Reiss could stare sadly at a pic of Saint Sonia of the Panesar surgery.

the80sweregreat · 27/08/2024 08:21

If Reiss is as heartbroken about Sonia as he is making out then he should fess up !
Not seen today's one yet ,but sounds as if a few of them are in hospital after the crush :(

Shellingbynight · 27/08/2024 08:25

Yeh Reiss really is not that heartbroken is he. He has no intention of confessing, he's relying on her being found not guilty at trial but he's happy for her to be on remand for a year in the meantime.

Anyonecanfallinlove · 27/08/2024 08:44

Does someone definitely die from the crush? I can't find anything online.
I have seen it is being said that Chelsea gets close to Teddy to spy for Phil.
I wonder what will happen to Bernie's phone!

Southeastdweller · 27/08/2024 08:59

I suppose someone will find Bernie’s phone (in today’s episode she dropped it in the caff), mysteriously get access to it even though there’s probably a password on it and find out Bernie’s the blackmailer.

Another intense episode today, very engaging. Poor Lauren getting trampled on! I felt really sorry for Penny as well.

I think Amy will survive and can see why they’ve chosen her to be the worst affected because Jack will go ballistic when he finds out Penny was responsible for the whole thing. And maybe he’ll reconcile with Denise.

OP posts:
the80sweregreat · 27/08/2024 09:01

I did read that Sharon finds out about Bernie's burner phone.

milesmachine · 27/08/2024 10:24

I found today's one utterly hilarious!

Various people strewn on the floor of the nightclub, some passed out and the fireman are walking around adjusting the furniture! One walks in, passed Penny lying on the floor and goes to turn upright a barstool on the ground!

Peggys is not THAT big people! Took them all episode to find Amy.

I really didn't like the brothers storyline with George and felt it didn't seem authentic really but maybe it'll take time. I've ready Kojo stays in Walford and he's played by a neurodiverse actor which is good.

BrutusMcDogface · 27/08/2024 10:27

I HATE the Junior and Cindy storyline. Makes me cringe like you wouldn’t believe. Ugh.

BrutusMcDogface · 27/08/2024 10:28

Oh and maybe Penny will stop being such a bitch now!

the80sweregreat · 27/08/2024 10:34

It's a shame the George story was interwoven with the club crush.
They are being a bit harsh on him as he was only young and scared of his adopted dad , but they probably don't understand how he was brought up. I hope he can repair the relationship a big over time

I think Jack and Dee will reconcile which is unfortunate as she can do so much better. But they obviously connect well off-screen, she posted a throwback picture of the two of them on the set of the Bill decades ago, she's barely aged!!

I really don't see the point of Bernie tbh. The whole blackmail storyline is so improbable. I don't think they know what to do with her or Felix.
