First look is up. Diamante and Lucy get to spill the beans to Uma and Matilda, oh and psycho girlfriend Nicole gets wound up by Ellie and possibly goes on the warpath with poor little Ciaran.

BlackStrayCat · 05/07/2024 15:05

Yes, Matilda stood firm. With Jess, then with Maya. Maya pushed her reaction. She kept digging. With her false Mockney.

Oh no. Nicole, stop it. Its like she wants it.

JasonTindallsTan · 05/07/2024 15:22

His little face when he was like ‘oh no what have I done now?!’

someone needs to stage a rescue ciaran at this point.

Although Ellie telling Nicole that was needless 🙄

SkippysEar · 05/07/2024 15:26

Ellie will have been told to wind Nicole up I'm sure. The show thrives on drama, same reason why Sean and Wills antics are gonna get grassed up to their partners. Kieran does need an out, perhaps Ellie will keep pursuing him as she does seem keen.

Catlord · 05/07/2024 15:28

Ellie's looking like a bit of a fantasist if all they did was chat online a bit and bump into each other once pissed. I'm sure she's been told to have this convo but I hope she doesn't play it up too much

Netaporter · 05/07/2024 15:33

I do wonder how the producers feel about deliberately stirring the pot by inviting exes etc on the show. It's a very different dynamic than just an out-and-out bitchy contestant trash talking about everyone because they are that way inclined and one that really does call into question the priority the TV execs have regarding mental health for them all. Especially after what has gone before. Nicole doesn't strike me as someone who can cope with this type of 'storyline' at all. It is uncomfortable watching.

I think it would be really irritating in Mimi’s position for the new and chosen girl to be crying. I don’t have any ace to grind for the new one but it was really insensitive. Mimi is inscrutable but she was clearly going to be devastated. I think she had good reason to cry had she chosen to.

I don’t think it’s fair to judge other people’s reactions to difficult situations. I am someone, who cries easily. Mimi is someone, who does not.

SkippysEar · 05/07/2024 16:03

Is that single bed always there for any jilted housemates? It was tragic, maybe Uma should have joined her. Sisters before misters and all that.

Picoloangel · 05/07/2024 16:06

@Mummyoflittledragon 🤷‍♀️

I’m not criticising Mimi for not crying I’m saying that I get why she was irritated by Jess crying. It was a difficult situation for Jess but it was way more difficult for Mimi.

CellophaneFlower · 05/07/2024 16:06

I didn't get why Ciaran told Nicole he'd never met Ellie, when they've already discussed that they have?

@Picoloangel I don't think Jessica meant to be insensitive, I just think she was probably a bit overwhelmed, sitting there knowing she was about to really upset someone, then realising she's going to get a frosty reception from the OG girls. Obviously she knew what she was doing, but I suspect it all feels a bit different when you're over in Casa, having not met Mimii before.

I didn't know that existed, didn't they say it was upstairs?

Picoloangel · 05/07/2024 16:12

I cannot imagine being as young as Mimi and standing there humiliated on her own. Jess knew what she was doing and what was going to happen when Mimi came back. In Mimi’s shoes I would also be wondering why she was the one crying.

I'd rather her cry and show some compassion than look smug that she'd 'won' as many do.

Sweetenuf · 05/07/2024 16:26

Yeh it could’ve put Mimi in a tricky position where she felt she had to comfort Jess. Maybe Jess is just someone who cries easily and couldn’t hold back but it could come across as potential manipulation.

I had a childhood (now ex) friend who would backstab various people in our social circle - and when she was confronted she’d cry lots
and it was really annoying how the sympathy & attention would then be given to her rather than the actual victim of her crappy behaviour.

Not saying Jess is that sneaky or her tears weren’t genuine, but yeah I get why Mimi wasn’t happy about it in the moment and I’m glad she didn’t feel guilted into comforting her.
She needs to stand up now and focus on her own emotions and wellbeing.

Hopefully they can have a proper conversation and clear the air but she shouldn’t feel the need to be super friendly with either of them unless of course she wants to.

Yes, I get you weren’t criticising Mimi. I am explaining some people cry more easily than others. My 16 yo dd is more like Mimi seems to be, hardly ever cries. My point is it isn’t fair to criticise people, who do cry easily (as long as they’re not making it about themselves). I often can’t hold back the tears and trying to do so can make it worse. Better to cry a couple of tears than hold back, what will become a deluge. As Cellophaneflower said, new Jess was likely a bit overwhelmed.

Picoloangel · 05/07/2024 16:49

We will agree to disagree. Jess certainly wasn’t upset in Casa!

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 05/07/2024 17:03

I think Casa Jess was fine when she was in the bubble which is Casa. She's surrounded by a supportive group of women who are telling her she should go for it and are pleased she's made a connection.

I'm guessing the reality of sitting in the main villa amongst Mimi's friends and feeling they are blaming her for Mimi's situation must be quite intimidating. Also facing Mimi in real life and seeing just how upset she was must feel horrible .

Also there must be the fear that Ayo will change his mind again upon reuniting with Mimi

Normally the Casa ladies have a lot of front and have no regrets so it's just a different type of personality handling the situation in a new way.

Catlord · 05/07/2024 18:15

Yes Jess seemed quite a nice lass. For me it would probably become pretty apparent fast that the other girl was genuinely very upset despite Ayo's non committal attitude towards her, and there's nothing i could do to put it right in the moment. Deeply uncomfortable and I can see why she would be set off. Especially with many of her friends now leaving having caused bad feeling with Mimiis friends.

Rollergirl11 · 05/07/2024 19:12

At least Jessica has a few other Casa girls joining her in the main villa.

purplefox97 · 05/07/2024 19:47

This is new, don’t think they’ve done this before?

purplefox97 · 05/07/2024 19:50

Why is Nicole so bothered that Ciaron was messaging Ellie when he was SINGLE

purplefox97 · 05/07/2024 19:50

Then again she did say to Nicole ‘I know what he’s like on the outside’

Sandalwoodrose · 05/07/2024 19:51

CellophaneFlower · 05/07/2024 16:09

I didn't know that existed, didn't they say it was upstairs?

I've seen newly entered Bombshells sleep in that room before (in this series), I think there's two single beds in there.
