I’ve only ever called it W K D too, but yes I agree with an earlier poster- why they would be getting excited at 0% W K D is beyond me! It wasn’t the best years ago even with alcohol, so I’m really surprised it’s even still around!

As I said upthread regardless of what Wikipedia says, the owners / makers of WKD would not have thrown tens of thousands of pounds at ITV for sponsorship and then had the brand name pronounced incorrectly on screen.

As it happens WKD has an Instagram page (wkd_official) and it's pronounced W-K-D in all the promo videos and reels on there, which I think settles it!

I actually like how the islanders are so full of life on zero alcohol. There’s a lot wrong with the islander culture but I think this is a positive! They’re just excited to dress up and dance :)
