Second thread about the BBC Series.

Carrying on from the last thread I wonder if Isobel was at a boarding school so wasn’t brought up in a sense in the way that Eugene would have done had she been at home all the time?

Although I suppose technically you'd be anonymous, you're not supposed to divulge any details (or even that you've been successful) until it airs IIRC.

But they could say as soon as it starts to air that they are on it, just like someone who knows them in real life.

DH is finding this series annoying as I pipe up “ooh I’ve been there” every three minutes!

I do hope E&I manage to progress their relationship a bit through this. They’re stuck in such a rut, I think neither of them can see that they’re frustrated with one another because they’re so similar.

DH suggested we apply. God no, I think we’d kill each other. He’d be the one scrimping and saving every penny, rushing past everything interesting. I’d be the one kicked out halfway through for taking too much time to explore. Maybe it’ll still be going in 20 years and I’ll do a mother/son duo!

Checking in. Steven and Viv have become less annoying; Isabelle and Eugenie more so. Still love the boys, love their friendship - would love to see them or the siblings win.

Surely I and E must have more better times. Watching so much sniping is tiring and sucks the joy out of their bits.

I was in shock when Betty left the bum bag behind, why on earth take it off? But I do wonder if it was spotted by a crew member and left for safe keeping to see how long it took to realise. Surely they could organise that fairly easily, or am I too cynical?

I absolutely loved the pink dolphins.

The only combo that would work would be dh and dd in our family!!

I absolutely love betty and James. They are so lovely.want to enjoy themselves and sight see. Alfie is just annoying. Not very likeable at all. Love Eoin.

Love viv. Not so much steve but he is growing on me. First series we ever watched and all enjoying it

I would love to do this with DS1 but sadly a dodgy hip and knee would make me a liability. He’d be brilliant - he’s great at budgeting, eating and travelling cheaply and his geographical knowledge is excellent. I suggested he applied with DH but they’re not taking the bait…

I really hope James and his sister win. He seems to have grown up so much.

I like Isabel and Eugenie in at least they are showing that it’s not easy and most of us would irritate each other. I don’t think Eugenie was teasing Isabel about the insects - more trying to get her to see the funny side? Viv really came into her own this episode

I'm a bit worried that Betty and James are going to run out of money

Just watched last weeks.

I was gutted for Betty losing the passports.

It did sound like Eugenie was mocking Isobel in the paddy fields.

Does Isobel have a career oris she still at uni? Were her brothers privately educated also? So many questions

I find E and I irritating and have for worse for me as the weeks have gone on.
Betty and James are lovely and the boys have actually grown on me. I think this experience is genuinely helping them mature a bit.

Hope it doesn't get bumped for an "election special" 🙄
