Next thing we’ll find out his neighbourly dog walker is Elle.

Shelllc130 · 16/06/2024 01:30

I think she was just under 1 when he joined, I’m sure I seen it at some point when I was rewatching some old episodes but don’t quote me on that haha!

I really hope we get to see her at some point.

haha yeah them not mentioning Elle in the Jacob story is crazy, they’ve not even attempted to make up a reason..

What happened to the woman with the pole through her chest and her mother in law?! We didn't see them arrive at hospital and next thing Stevie is bringing in an unidentified male!

I'm pretty sure next week is a continuation, from what Sky have on the planner it sounds like the storm is still going on.

I’m astounded Dervla is still going. She’ll be in the Guinness book of world records as the world’s oldest dog soon.

Yes, that is the main thing I took from that episode…

When I saw this bit, Mumsnet was my first thought 🤣

Thisisme1234x · 16/06/2024 09:06

I know someone who follows the place that train her, the dog who plays Dervla is 14 (around the same age as she’ll be in the show) in real life.

spiderlight · 16/06/2024 10:35

Oh my goodness!! So glad the actual Dervla is still alive. I love her so much ❤️

FourLeggedBuckers · 16/06/2024 11:32

I love how our priorities are all about Dervla and not about the actual plot 😂
If the writers knew this, the next block of episodes would centre around her, seeing as she’s everyone’s favourite character. Alongside Dylan, of course.

I thought she was an older dog when Dylan started in the ED - but it’s been 11 years, I may well be misremembering that.

She's the type of dog that would look old even when she was young!

FourLeggedBuckers · 16/06/2024 11:56

It’s more that I think I remember him fussing over her “because she’s not a young dog”. But he’s a bit like that generally, and it was a long time ago!

purpleme12 · 16/06/2024 23:47

Great another one who's got the wrong first impression of Dylan

purpleme12 · 16/06/2024 23:50

Cringed so much with Cam talking to Abigail

purpleme12 · 16/06/2024 23:53

I don't think new love interest is widowed no. I think he'd have said if that was the case

LouisCatorze · 17/06/2024 08:16

I'm getting a feeling that the new guy is not going to have a positive impact being back in Cam's life? Oh dear.

I have always hoped for a Rash/Rida romantic relationship but thinking now that it's becoming more like a sibling one?

Agree, maybe wife has degenerative condition

purpleme12 · 17/06/2024 08:52

Ah I think it was an innocent mistake from new guy.
I actually think he'll be good for Cam. But that's just what I got from it

UsernameChangerRanger · 17/06/2024 12:07

They've done a Huntingtons storyline 2 or 3 times now

LIZS · 17/06/2024 12:26

That's true. Ethan and Cal's birth mother. But they often rehash old storylines.

I don’t think having someone from his past - who probably still thinks of him as a kid - is going to be good for him either. Especially as he gave him such poorly thought out advice - how on earth did he end up on the board with that level of foresight 🫣

Whilst what Cam said to the mother was inappropriate, I don’t think it warranted the response it got from Siobhan. I’m fairly sure he got bollocked more than Lenny Lyons did when he full on acted out a traumatic car crash decapitation with a jelly baby, in front of the victim’s wife.

And yes, that is a really old comparison - but it was a very entertaining era in Casualty history!

spiderlight · 17/06/2024 13:37

Awww - I'd forgotten about Lenny Lions! He was great. Highly entertaining.

Zyq · 17/06/2024 16:37

Aren't they a doctor down with Patrick gone? I wonder if they'll replace him?

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/06/2024 19:30

A week behind so have read io to last weeks

Omg

As soon as they mentioned suicide and rash did his note on the door - I thought he was going to hang his self

Luckily he didn't as that's the one thing I still can't watch due to dh hanging his self

But glad he will be ok

Dylan. I assume he is autistic but that makes no diff as still can be a fab doctor - unlike Patrick

What I don't get is how /why the board allows him to go to an Edinburgh hospital and a new job

When he is a danger to patients

So what happens to rima

I thought weird the whole staff then backed her up by saying it was me about the whistleblowing

purpleme12 · 17/06/2024 20:52

They were sticking up for her, showing they were with her.

Nothing's going to happen to Rida really!

Holby operates outside of the real world where doctors can't get struck off. Unless Dylan reporting him has repercussions.

spiderlight · 22/06/2024 10:53

😁

UsernameChangerRanger · 22/06/2024 12:07

I just want to share how much I love Dylan, and think he's well overdue a love interest on this show (I'm not volunteering I've just watched this week's)
