I really enjoyed last night's episode as some of the emotion and laughs seemed for real and the whole marathon part of it had a good feel. The Whit / Brit part could have waited for another time, definitely. Maybe it was kind of a back-up in case the marathon had been cancelled or they couldn't do it for some reason?

Not ignorant, or shamed just sceptical. Yolande is a fictional character whose storyline has been written for maximum dramatic affect in a TV soap opera. I'd hazard a guess that the writers are 'ignorant' about how SA feels too. Some of us aren't and are brave enough to call out abusers and so spare other potential victims. Women in EE are too often portrayed as victims. It makes goodTV drama.

I guess she doesn’t want to draw attention to herself.
