Hope Larkin goes through (with a different pud). I am not keen on Corrin.

Well, none of those looked great, and sounds like they didn't taste great, either. Least worst going through.

At least they were decent and professional to each other.

It's frustrating that there were lots of chefs in the past who didn't even make it to finals week but who would have breezed through this series.

That was quite the talking to they got.
Let's hope they rework things for tomorrow.

I find Corrin a bit arrogant but I suppose he didn't start a barney over the blast chiller. Small mercies.

I'm glad Larkin went through, he obviously worked hard and has potential!

Corrin does seem arrogant but in some ways he is right. If I was at a banquet I’d want a great tasting dessert, maybe a bit of show. I don’t care if the chef is pushing themselves. The two may cross at this level of cooking but I’d probably be more interested in talking to the people sitting next to me. Maybe that would be different in something like master chef chefs table where they really know the techniques and how hard things are.

This week especially I found a big contrast between the chef’s accolades and job description they list in the Introduction and what they ended up producing.

I really don’t like the format of losing chefs. There could be some chefs with amazing desserts but they never get to cook them because they’re starters weren’t great. I just find it silly when it’s meant to be the ‘best’ for each course, but it can’t be when we don’t see all the chefs mains or desserts.

Yes, or the scenario that seems to happen every year where a chef does probably the most outstanding banquet-worthy dish of the series but doesn't progress through the competition because their overall menu isn't a winner.

I agree. Given how poor the chefs have been this year they really need to rethink for next year.

It looks like a challenge from the Great British Sewing Bee where they've had to run up an outfit from road-gang workwear and the costume department of Earth, Wind and Fire. Although Andi manages to pull these outfits off.

It does look like it would get very sweaty in the kitchen. Maybe she'll cause chaos opening the blast chiller to cool down later.

Larkin should have done an entirely new pudding. Even executed brilliantly that one was drab.

Colin has always been so trim, I can't imagine him eating much.
