Same here. I thought this would be a very easy theme for them but banquet-worthy dishes have been very thin on the ground in comparison to previous years.

Very low standard so apart from the first week and maybe the second. When you look at that medal dish served up last night and compare it to the stopwatch in the first week or two, the difference was utterly dismal.

agree with posters re Corrin, might be a lovely fella but is coming across as a bit arrogant.

i don’t know if I’m expecting too much, but I think the production team should vet the connection to the brief before they come to the show. Get them to send an email with the description and a pic of the final dish.

what’s the point of having the theme if they’re putting them through whether they link it to it or not.

finally, I’m sure cutting the sushi is very hard but it didn’t seem like there was much cooking involved in that dish.

the guy that went out reminded me of the actor in One Day.

I've just googled them. Apparently they are called blackout tattoos and they are a thing. Sometimes they cover up old tattoos but some people just like them.

To me, the banquet worthy main dishes are always hearty and generous. Think last year's beef pie or Spencer's elegant Pride and Prejudice feast.
