Just a pity the Corrie writers don’t read this thread carefully enough- plenty of pointers here to resuscitate the show!

They’re cutting things like extras and group scenes, which make the show feel more real, yet they spent goodness knows how much on the new precinct set, when half of the previous extension is unused (we only ever see Speed Dahl), as well as the set for a swish hotel, which is now shoehorned into storylines purely to justify its existence.

Ditch Sean, Gemma, Chesney, Joseph and the quads - that’s three adult salaries gone, plus the need to have five chaperoned children on set. Move existing characters into No. 5 and you don’t even need new characters to fill the house; plus you can drop another set.

Does Street Cars still exist? The cab office hasn't featured for a long time.

I think that Daisy and Bethany are very pretty. I wouldn't mind looking like either of them.

No. I'm assuming they aren't so perfectly made up in real life and therefore look more real.

Bit fed up of the missing Lauren story. If Roy gets charged with murder (and we assume he is totally innocent), what purpose will that serve? Unless the actor wants some time out of the programme and does a stint inside.

I wonder if that's the end of Tracy permanently? I hope not, I like her character mostly.

I think Daisy is gorgeous but I'm not sure why she acts like a world weary landlady who’s been in the Rovers since before Bet Lynch’s time.

I thought they were gorgeous at the start but like everyone and yes I know they are characters but when you get to see a person for who they are they just start looking as ugly as their insides to me.

Of course Roy is totally innocent. Would she still be treated as missing if this happened irl or would it be a murder inquiry as it is in Corrie now? Also, have they tested the blood they found? Is the only evidence they still have that he went to where the bats are and that condom wrapper?

I think it's partly this for me too. I did look up the actresses to see what they look like in real life. I much prefer them with less/no makeup. Especially the Bethany actress.

I find it hard to believe Bethany in real life is a mum, to me she's still a silly little girl!

It is a long stretch of the imagination that Roy would ever be suspected of murder.
He has no motive, he was cleaning her flat for a valid reason.No body, Lauren could easily have just moved away. Sheis involved with all sorts of unsavoury characters through her father and her online video dealings.
No evidence whatsoever to arrest/suspect poor Roy. It would be laughed out of court.

@JellyBeanFactory I am not convinced that Rosie and Sophie are mothers. They are still away modelling or whatever. Not having a real life.
I wish they would come back and visit occasionally and Faye too. Parents on the street tend to neglect and forget their offspring or obsess about them once a terrible thing has happened.

Court cases for the wrongly accused are the most boring Corrie storylines. They rely on them way too much and they're a total snooze.

Have the police interviewed Evelyn yet? Surely she can tell them that she gave him the keys to clean the flat

Glad Dillon told the truth but after all of the build up, the court scenes lasted less than 5 minutes.
