Or Call Saint Turner, as the show has really turned into.

This is such a good episode.

ClaraLane · 03/03/2024 20:44

I’m a few minutes behind but was expecting the Turners to be asked if they wanted to adopt the baby boy too.

I was too. I suppose that's a possible future storyline.

Girlontherailreplacementbusservice · 03/03/2024 20:46

Shame they had to have Turner Jnr displaying a very 21st C attitude to antibiotics. It's the first time in years I have been choked up by CtM. Miss Higgins story reminds me of how good it used to be every week.

ClaraLane · 03/03/2024 20:49

I love Nancy

I recently started watching from series 1 again and earlier episodes were so moving and so well acted.Agree this one is the best one in a long time.

LIZS · 03/03/2024 20:56

When was the Thames ever that clear in Poplar!

SmashedPrawnsInAMilkyBasket · 03/03/2024 21:00

Blimey, no mascara left now. Brilliant series finale. Let’s hope we get more of the same in the next series. 1970 beckons!

PuttingDownRoots · 03/03/2024 21:01

I wonder if they meant that episode to be shown next Sunday, on Mother's day, when it was filmed?

RosaMoline · 03/03/2024 21:05

Yes…I welled up a bit tonight, I must confess.
Assume Trixie is not leaving & just going to NYC for a visit??
Still no mention of Lucille…😡

I thought that but it was a very good episode otherwise.

Pats??? Did you mean Trixie...?
Cried twice this week now.

Yeah
Trixie

upinaballoon · 03/03/2024 21:06

I shed tears this week.
The Indian grandson was a bit nice.

He had lovely hair.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 03/03/2024 21:08

What a great episode. Shows they can do it! I’ve cried lots.

MadeOfAllWork · 03/03/2024 21:08

Oh I had a proper cry at that. So many women of that era would have had a similar story and taken it to their graves.

Bit Mothering Sunday is spring

Bonfire night which it was at the start of the episode is in November 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Jojobees · 03/03/2024 21:14

I think due to the BAFTAs they thought it would have been aired on Mothering Sunday which is next week

Shown on Mothers day, not set on Mothers day

OnceUponATeabreak · 03/03/2024 21:24

I haven't shed a tear all series, but I was sobbing through that episode!

What a finale. Talk about saving the best til last.

CTM still got it!

PinkFrogss · 03/03/2024 21:28

I agree that was a lovely episode. I thought the Rev looked like Tom too and also wondered if they meant that episode for Mothers Day.
Was Victor's adoptive mother dead as I felt for her missing his death if not.
I thought Trixie was going to drink the meths! I thought bloody hell that was a rapid descent into becoming a meths drinker!

I was surprised Sister Julienne didn't bother putting water on Trixie's burns as even superficial ones are very painful.
So glad Joyce is being supported against the blackmail. It was handy the other newbie was trying out the pentecostal church without Sylvester seeing her there.
I wish they still showed the nuns singing Compline in the Chapel.
Lovely episode though.
Think I'll start watching the old episodes from the beginning now.

DelphineFox · 03/03/2024 21:53

Was Angela adopted too?
