I watched Who Do You Think You Are with Boy George, and his (I think) GM wandered away from outside her house, and was taken into care!

Oh goodness! I wished I'd known that when my dm was still alive! I'd have teased her with it!

It was quite a sad story. He went back to the street and stood on the corner where she was found, and they pointed out her front door which was about 10 feet away!

The families were living 8 to a room so children played outside all day. The 'Welfare' seemed to go round picking them up and putting them in orphanages to be trained as domestic servants. Awful.

Gosh that's really sad.

I just watched sister Monica Joan playing the vicars wife alongside the lovely Richard Briers in an old Midsomer Massacre.

Judy was in The Charmer with Nigel Havers. Great series.

Judy Parfitt is magnificent in Dolores Claiborne, alongside Kathy Bates. It's based on a Stephen King story.
