@crabbyoldbat

No they haven't said there is. They also didn't say there was on one of the other series I watched but it still happened. It was only announced after there were only traitors left and they had 'won'

Yes they have said 'if there are any traitors left at the end they win'

A game of steal or share would still be the traitors winning. The final step would be deciding how it's divided.

Maybe not so 'ridiculous' after all

periodiclabel · 26/01/2024 12:09

One foreign version does steal or share, trying to avoid spoilers, there's no precedent here so who knows what they might implement

Choux · 26/01/2024 12:15

If I remember correctly hasn't Harry said in the yellow chair that his goal is to take the whole pot ie get Andrew out? And Andrew is wise to Harry's non loyalty to any traitor.

So given that Harry's goal is to get Andrew out and Jaz's goal is to get Harry out. When Harry starts on Andrew, Andrew will retaliate on Harry and Jaz will join in. Mollie is unlikely to look at Harry as a traitor so the game hinges on what Evie does. Hopefully Jaz will provide a compelling case against Harry and Evie will help banish him.

The Harry v Andrew fight at the round table will reveal them as likely to both be traitors so ther will be another banishment of Andrew. Then Jaz, Evie and mollie will end the game and win.

No one seems to have twigged that the fact that no one was murdered when Harry had the shield means that there could be a recruitment rather than a failed murder.

Claudia actually said something like "I'll leave you all to think about what that might mean..."

IGotItFromAgnes · 26/01/2024 12:18

It’s interesting because Harry and Andrew need to play the game in completely different ways to each other now.

Andrew’s best chance is to get Harry out first and then try and persuade Jaz and Evie to vote out Mollie (as she’s the only one who seems to have actual suspicions of Andrew)

Harry’s best chance is to work with Andrew to get out Evie and Jaz, and then turn on him so only he and Mollie are left.

This is where I really can't decide what's most likely to happen. I have no idea which traitor will go first, and I think it highly likely whichever stays might not then be banished... it will be good viewing.

(I've got over my sulk since Wednesday's crap episode).

If that happens, Mollie will reveal she's a Faithful. So anyone who suspects there's still a Traitor left won't vote to end the game.

crabbyoldbat · 26/01/2024 12:22

@lemonsaretheonlyfruit OK, maybe not ridiculous, but I think the regulation of TV competitions makes it very unlikely - it could impact the way people play the game if they don't have the information up front.

Yes, but Andrew could position it as “I don’t think there are any Traitors left but let’s make sure as Mollie and Harry were so close”

lemonsaretheonlyfruit · 26/01/2024 12:23

@crabbyoldbat

Agreed - but they seem to make it up as they go along in other areas of the game 'Ie no murder tonight'. I don't know about any of the regulations though.

I really hope Harry doesn’t win. I’m so vested in it now. I really do want one of the faithful to win. I really like listening to Molly’s story last night, but she’s so blinkered by Harry.

I maybe wrong but I thought when Harry picked the long sword that Andrew hadn't had a turn? I also think it was edited so they didn't necessarily go in the order which was shown. I think Harry was the only one who walked all the way round and actually looked at the swords, so maybe the longest sword had a slightly larger handle or something.

I do think Harry has played a very clever game. He's likeable which definitely goes in his favour and I think his army training has really helped. He sees it as a mission that he has to win. I think I'd quite like Andrew to win it.

Orangewinegum8481 · 26/01/2024 12:35

You can see Mollie is besotted with Harry and he's used that by stringing her along the whole time. I hope she she says she's known all along and exposes him at the round table. I hope Mollie wins.

2dogsandabudgie · 26/01/2024 12:37

Yes I'd like Mollie to say she knew about Harry all along, but I don't think that's going to happen.

I think Evie could end up with the "casting vote" as it's likely the traitors will turn on each other at the round table, depending on whether Jas speaks first and finally gives an account of his reasons for suspecting Harry. Mollie will support Harry against Andrew and Jaz will support Andrew against Harry. If Evie swings it against Harry, then it's likely that Mollie and Jaz will also follow up on their suspicions about Andrew at the fire pit and banish him there. It will be interesting to see if there is then any further debate about whether there are still any traitors remaining, and if anyone else gets banished!

NonPlayerCharacter · 26/01/2024 12:45

Evie does have the casting vote. Andrew and Harry will vote for each other, Mollie will vote Andrew, Jaz will vote Harry.

That's why we NEED her to work out that the "knew about the shield" thing can't be right, because she and Jasmine were/are both Faithfuls. If she can just get this, she'll vote Harry and then my blood pressure will go back to normal.

AddieLoggins2 · 26/01/2024 12:46

With regards to the sword thing. I think this is an actual example of the way the producers can edit the show to make it look a certain way.

I know there has been a lot of talk about how much influence the producers have over what is said/done. And I don't think they do directly influence what happens, but obviously it's a tv show so they are going to want to show what does happen in the most dramatic/entertaining way possible.

So I reckon they do something like, all draw swords. Harry gets the unbroken sword, they then film it again, this time with Harry stood on the final spot (if that's not where he was originally stood). They'll already have the footage of people drawing the swords the first time, and we know that they do pick up shots etc Who knows maybe they film it

She's not besotted

They're a similar age and just get on really well because they're both very personable

I think it's only actually Harry and Andrew twisting things that could even implicate Evie - out of both of the other two remaining faithfuls, neither were that interested in the theory that whoever didn't know Harry had a shield must be a traitor, Molly was more focused on Andrew and Jas thinks Harry is a traitor anyway so won't trust that theory. Evie's assuming it's going to be a big deal but it doesn't actually have to be.

Evie seemed to realise Harry had never been suspected yesterday, so hopefully her and Jas will talk.

Girlontherailreplacementbusservice · 26/01/2024 10:32

If she rocks up to the round table tonight points the finger at Harry and declares that she has been on to him for weeks and has built a 'bond' with him to get to the final would you change your mind about her?

I would love his telling her she was safe to come back and bite him on the arse.

I don't think it will play out this way but if it did it would be a fantastic play by Mollie.

Honestly - no I wouldn’t. If she has worked it out it’s been in the past 24h and again, only because other people put their heads above the parapet.
