Denise is ( generally ) the voice of reason
She told them they wouldn't be believed and ' go down' and they believed it. It's flimsy , but the whole narrative is women are not believed and nobody would think Linda did it out of self defense ( even if it was to save Sharon's bacon )
It is sad that people would think this, but it's clearly true about rape and Linda has experienced this aspect herself with people doubting her because of Dean and Suki being married to a narcissist etc
That's my take on it , but really they should have let Kathy call it in and saved all the bother of hiding a body and making it all much worse

I agree @the80sweregreat - the underlying premise is that women aren't believed. Denise also mentioned joint enterprise which meant that they could also all go down even if only one of them is guilty.

Haven't posted on an Eastenders thread in a long time, or watched it, but have watched the Christmas episode and those since, so hope it's okay to join in.

I found it a bit weird how it jumped from them in the cafe at the end of one episode to the police arriving on the square and the pub being sealed off in the next.

Did I miss where that was explained? Who called the police?

So confused with the Eve situation. When the police were questioning Suki they asked if she knew was Eve was so assumed they were still looking for her (even though Jack called and told them days ago he saw her in the Square).

But the. on the night of the murder Stacey told Suki that Jack was hiding Eve in his house.

Today she in the shop saying everything is fine, she’s a free woman etc. So the police are no longer looking into her fake murder?

Totally perplexed!

The police obviously didn't care that Eve committed perjury ( I think this is the correct term) by planting evidence and pretending to be dead ? I didn't give it much thought , but eastie is correct , it doesn't make any sense at all
Suki also seems reluctant to leave with her
On Christmas Day it was a call about Nugget
Today it was something else. I know she's had all the Ken / Nish stuff, but they just can't seem to leave as a couple.
I doubt they will end up together somehow as it just isn't going that well and Nish is bound to be cured in hospital as they have a good track record there !

I am assuming that one of the six contacted the police Christmas night and then they were there at the police station until Boxing Day being questioned and the police roped off the pub
I think we all have to fill in the blanks ourselves and clearly every part was filmed at different times too as it's all cut about
Probably to stop it being leaked who the murderer was and who the victim was etc

How come nish who got hit by a wine bottle via a feeble woman is on deaths door

Where as Ravi who got walloped hard by a rolling pin so heavy and hard is ok

Guessing they called the police to say about nish once body wa stashed so they they could say their story

All the running/shuffling about in those high heels?! Why wrap the body and leave it on their doorstep? Surely renovations will start soon on the remains of the cafe. Won’t DNA be on the tarpaulin and the tape? Did they put the fingerprints from the hand Keanu would’ve held the bottle in? Keanu had no beef with Nish did he? It was all very messy and disjointed tonight. I don’t think the police would believe any of their statements for a minute

Good point about Ravi. He was smashed over the head and knocked out cold but seems fine now. Maybe Nurse Sonia treated him. Also when he and Nish were kicking six bells out of each other all of the others (Avani, the kids, Vinny) just stayed sitting in the front room!
