Nigel leaving Strictly ...

Is there more to this? For some reason I'm not buying this. He injured his foot earlier on in the week, now it's his rib.

Katya clinging on to him for dear life in the end interview, totally beside herself and over emotional.

Also, the way he has talking about her, makes me feel that strong feelings are involved.

Thought please?

Katya is amazingly competitive, she's always stopped at nothing to win. I honestly think she's just gutted to have her best chance in years torn away from her in a moment with no warning.

And if you were going to fake injury then you'd do something more nebulous like a back strain rather than a fall in front of loads of witnesses and a trip to A&E.

That exit interview thing was so so weird. if I were Nigel's wife I would have been EXTREMELY suspicious. Surely something must have been going on between them. It was like an affair in plain sight. SO SO weird. It has been troubling me since Satruday but no one seems to be talking about it!! Thank god you have!!!

I can’t see that they would have done that interview if there was anything dodgy going on. Plus he looked like he was in pain.

Also they are all over-emotional. Look at Carlos and Angela the week before. Even my elderly parents said, Why are they crying? Nobody died.

I think they are double bluffing. Doing that interview, doing a dance about someone having an extra marital affair - you wouldn't do that if you were really having an affair, right? - but maybe that's just what they want us to think!

I need to know the truth. Would it be weird to hire a private detective?

I think its always a bit OTT. Unless they were shagging and his wife told him to leave, I don't think there is anything to it. Loads of celebs have kept affairs secret. They don't have to leave a show over it! Also, Katya's taste in men is of the level of Neil Jones and Seann Walsh. Nigel is quite easy on the eye 😁

I reckon that's exactly what's happened, his Mrs has stepped in.

He said something about " Katya is now a part of me " in their exit interview, I find it all very odd and if I was his wife I wouldn't be very happy about it.

All the hand holding they do is a bit too much for a married man.

Let's face, every wife secretly hopes their husband doesn't get paired with Katya.

I don't think there's anything going on. He said that he was on a lot of painkillers and did seem mildly off his trolley. I'm not at all surprised that Katya was in floods. It's so incredibly harsh to have to leave the competition literally on the day of the quarter finals. All the pros are extremely competitive, and he was her best chance in years of getting to the final. I'm sure they're both shocked and heartbroken plus everyone must be beyond exhausted at this stage

I'm gutted for both of them

have just watched it again, and think it was mainly down to nigel's weird giggling that made me think something underhand going on, but suspect he was off his trolley on drugs as above poster says. I really really hope so, can't take any more knocks to my faith in humanity

He was on strong painkillers for a broken rib. It's a very common and known side effect.

This type of gossipy speculation is ridiculous. Katya is super competitive and is obviously gutted that her best chance to win in years has been stopped by an injury. She likely has also had a horrible fright seeing her partner injured and needing medical attention.

Lots of emotions but no, I don't think it's anything close to an affair. And it's very disrespectful to Mrs Harman to be saying so.

@Angrycat2768 I also find it odd how there's no update on Katya's instagram. No gushy post about how proud she is to have been paired with Nigel and how she's made a friend for life. Something doesn't sit right with me.

We shall see. All will come out in the wash.

I would totally trust DH with Katya. He doesn't find her attractive in the slightest and I know that cheshire cat grin and silly giggling would drive him insane. Karen on the other hand!

For some reason I read it as Nigel leaving IACGMOOH and thought you were on about Farage, and was getting very confused about who Katya was.

BTW Ive been on strong painkillers over the years (bad back, 2 broken arms, gallstones, post-hysterectomy) I've never known the giggles as been a ''known and common side effect''. Constipation and oversedation, yes, giggling no....I wish it was!!!
