Apple TV+ 3 months free (VM offer) - Anything worth watching? Thanks

Just wondered what anyone who has Apple TV+ thinks are worthwhile programmes.

I like detective / crime dramas. More Spiral / the Wire than Midsummer Murders!

Historical, unless they are sloppy romances, and those based on actual history.

SciFi but so long as it is actual science fiction, not what now is listed as SF but is really horror, monster.

Dont mind sub titles.

(I'm asking because I had Disney+ free for 3 months and I think I spent more time working my way through the listings than watching any series! And VM "suggestions" are so off base in terms of my usual viewing that if this is an example of AI we are all doomed!!)

I thought I would come back to say I am following up on recommendations, although side tracked by some movies.

So the first series I have got through all 3 seasons is the Morning Show.

I did enjoy it, but think binge watching it gave the feeling that I got from the Good Fight (and West Wing) that covering just about every contemporary issue can sort of make it a bit trivial and just tick box.

Have never really watched anything with Jennifer Anniston and am not convinced she can act but felt that for her part she was ok. (I want her balcony!)

Have always like Reese Witherspoon and interesting that she played a more obviously flawed character.

Couldn't really understand Cory's character but lovely to see Lindsay Duncan (unexpectedly) as his mother.

Anyhow, I wont go on, but glad to have watched it. Way more sophisticated then most series on UK mainstream TV.

I came here cos I got 3 months free of Apple TV. Couldn’t really get into The Morning Show. Everyone started to just annoy me.

I do sort of agree, but by the end of series 1 I stopped trying to think it was realistic.

And certainly didn't make me think tv news was anything you could rely on!

I know I’m repeating everyone else but you really need to watch slow horses. It’s brilliant!

I promise I have Slow Horses on my "up next list"!

I'm almost worried now that I'll watch it and think what were they all going on about .................

I got lots of useful suggestions, but then more came on and made the same suggestions so I thought I would total recommendations to date to show what had already been mentioned.

I appreciate that there are top shows, but sometimes the odd one or two that aren't that popular are also good. Well for me anyway as i found many of those highly recommended not for me at all!

No longer have access to Apple and have found out they dont let you take up other 3 months free offers if you've already had one but may take out a one month sub and binge watch some series I never got round to and / or newer series.
