Apple TV+ 3 months free (VM offer) - Anything worth watching? Thanks

Just wondered what anyone who has Apple TV+ thinks are worthwhile programmes.

I like detective / crime dramas. More Spiral / the Wire than Midsummer Murders!

Historical, unless they are sloppy romances, and those based on actual history.

SciFi but so long as it is actual science fiction, not what now is listed as SF but is really horror, monster.

Dont mind sub titles.

Many thanks for any thoughts!

(I'm asking because I had Disney+ free for 3 months and I think I spent more time working my way through the listings than watching any series! And VM "suggestions" are so off base in terms of my usual viewing that if this is an example of AI we are all doomed!!)

I agree with the recommendation for Slow Horses. If you like sci fi then Silo is worth watching- second series is pending although filming stopped due to actors strike

I'd highly recommend Slow Horses, Hijack and Ted Lasso.

On a side note, have you got O2 as well as virgin? The offer has popped up on our Virgin menu but I'm not sure if we qualify as we're not on o2.

For All Mankind is great. It's an alternative world to now, where the Russians got to the moon first in the 60s, consequently, the Americans put a lot more money and effort into space exploration. By the current date, there is a base on the moon, and they've got to Mars too. Lots going on, politics etc, and good personal stories.

I keep getting irritating text messages from VM telling me I am getting so much more because they are now part of O2.

And I went to the Priority web site (which has the offer) and it showed that I could sign in with my VM log in.

So I just sort of assumed I was eligible. Will look really silly if I am wrong.

I put off signing in and getting the offer depending on recommendations from this thread.

We had Apple TV for a few months about a year ago.

I'll throw Bad Sisters into the mix.

We'll jump back on for a few weeks when the new Slow Horses is out.

We're renting a lodge next month and I am hoping some of the previous guests were daft enough to leave their Disney + login on the TV (I still have a few episodes of Only Murders in the Building to catch up with).

I honestly dont know! Try going to the web link I posted above and see if it lets you sign in with your VM log in. If it does then you can go to Apple TV+ offer.

So this is as clear as mud. ie are they saying (3rd para) if you have broad band you cant take up offer, or they they saying you can take up the offer if you have a Virgin Set Top box (para 1) ...

Movies don't seem to be a thing on Apple TV much. There's regular main stream films, but you have to pay extra.

In fact, although the content they produce is very good quality, there is not loads on there compared with say Netflix. As they are apparently about to raise their prices quite considerably this makes it quite expensive for what you get. Fortunately there are lots of free trials available, for extended periods,and I am planning to take advantage as much as possible!
