The whole everything's fine/nothing to see here has been fake.
Strictly machine/Strictly bubble has taken its toll mentally.
Gio is a perfectionist.
Amanda lacks self-esteem and just needed to believe in herself.
She was good but couldn't see it despite Gio/Jonathan telling her how good she was.
Or they were doing the dirty.

The "insider" from a few weeks back claimed Joe Varney can be brusque with an aggressive training style. Someone like Michelle Visage would give like-for-like. Maybe Giovanni needs a female Layton next year so he can dance at full pelt.

Heard about Amanda. I would have thought she could see it through - being an experienced performer and all and a good dancer. She looked like she was enjoying herself. Her husband saying someting strange about clean mirrors has got me speculating. Say no more.

She's experienced, has done some dancing with Derek Hough, she won't want to shag Gio and if he gets too much she'll tell him to hadaway an' shite and deck him!

That's the vibe that I was getting - too much trouble to fight it but having to be discreet because nothing was ever overtly stated at home.

It’s rather odd that Amanda didn’t mention Gio.

It's factual that her partner is a, wheelchair user yes but it's basically implying he somehow is less than abd has jealousy and poor self esteem due to that. I personally think it is disgusting because it means people are defining a person by their disability. Creating a narrative around the man. Shame on people on other forums too.

I wonder whether, having been so keen to have him as a partner, she was unprepared for his perfectionism and expectation of his partners. He had great rapport with Rose and some in the past, but last year and this, it doesn’t seem to have worked for him. She did always look rather intense I thought.

I think Gio has enough irons in the fire to not worry about Strictly any more. To have two years of poor experiences must be off putting.

I’m presuming the clean mirror remark is about making sure you see yourself clearly. Rather than anything nefarious.

But anyway, TBH anyone who seemingly gets their insight into the human condition from Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus ('I meant in general male egos' are fragile not just him that is quite well known I'd say.') is probably not to be taken that seriously.

Does anyone remember the BBC announcements when others have left mid-series? Amanda's seemed a little cold and brusque to me - but maybe it's standard and I shouldn't read anything into it? If I was going to read anything into it, I'd wonder whether they'd be showing a little more compassion if she'd been forced out by trolls?

I think if I were her I'd have said I had flu or covid and felt rotten. Then not recover in time for Hallowe'en and hey presto — can't continue in the show but none of this social media speculation.
