And yet this used to be the entire point of the show, and it was a better show for it, certainly more entertaining. If the set up of the show is now that it's only achievable with experience they should rethink their casting otherwise it's just setting people up for ridicule

I wonder who'll be in the bottom two next week. I wouldn't be able to call it at all. I thought that Nikita would be this week because she's just not as good as anyone else there. Now even the not so great are still reasonably good. It'll be interesting to see who it is.

I'd love that @SequinsandStiIettos ! I'm in the lovely position of only realising it was worth watching last season, so now I'm watching seasons 1-3 on iPlayer and loving it. Robin might be my favourite.

So Gorka continues his pattern of either going out early or reaching the final. I've seen a bit of criticism of him but I don't think even James Herriot could have gotten anything out of Nikita.

Ellie is far too young and fresh to be Lola. I've still never forgiven them for the time they gave Copacabana to Simon Rimmer and Karen when Debbie McGee and Giovanni were right there.

The guest artiste wasn't terrible but if they are going to do a theme week then they need to make the effort to have someone singing an iconic movie song. They'll probably never top the time they had Gladys Knight singing Licence to Kill.

Jody vs Zara or Adam vs Angela R next week

Zara might benefit from a bounce in the vote next week.

There are no duffers who don’t deserve to be there. That’s quite unusual in W3 isn’t it? Thinking of people like Tony Adams and Ann Widdecombe.

When I say “don’t deserve” I mean talent rather than work ethic.

You'd think though that Nikita would be able to see that everyone else is a better dancer than her, so it shouldn't be such a surprise to her that she was the one to go. Its the ones who go out before other weaker dancers that I feel sorry for.

I managed to watch the results show more or less in synch for about the first time ever! God bless the footy and the VPN working. Fast forwarded the guest singing.

I don't think Nikita turned her back on Gorka to snark, but because the protocol is that you congratulate the person who beat you.

I don't think Tony Adams was anything like as awful as Anne Widdecombe, and at least he committed to learning to dance.

I think the judges will be tempted to keep Angela R in for a bit longer. Annabel, Adam and Jody probably won't last too long. A few years ago there was about half a dozen really dreadful ones. That was the year poor Luba got James Cracknell and had to position him like an Action Man.

Gorks really hasn't had a rough time of it. He's good at coaching/teaching the ringers but not so good with novices. The whole point is that you get an outsider the year after a ringer hence Kai and Gio's early exits last year. It was Gorka's turn. I assume Carlos and Vito had special treatment to make them more established as pros.

Coro brunette asked for free cake. Did Cruella and Gorks was a dalmatian on all fours. I rewatched it recently. She was okay. It was just a year with some decent movie turns.
