It was right that Nikita went; I felt for her though and do believe she gave it her all, she just wasn't very good and would've needed a lot of time to improve.

The right person went out imo. Nikita simply didn't improve much at all.

Loved yesterday's Disney themed pros dance, and was just showing it to dd who was away on camp this weekend.

As I was browsing Youtube, I rediscovered the Bond themed pros dance, which is spectacular and all 3 Bonds look hawt! I'll link it on the videos thread.

Thanks, that and the dalmatian reference have rung something very vague in the back of my mind, but it’s funny how there’s always totally forgettable ones . no one is going to remember Nikita

So Gorka continues his pattern of either going out early or reaching the final. I've seen a bit of criticism of him but I don't think even James Herriot could have gotten anything out of Nikita.

Ellie is far too young and fresh to be Lola. I've still never forgiven them for the time they gave Copacabana to Simon Rimmer and Karen when Debbie McGee and Giovanni were right there.

The guest artiste wasn't terrible but if they are going to do a theme week then they need to make the effort to have someone singing an iconic movie song. They'll probably never top the time they had Gladys Knight singing Licence to Kill.

I must be having a thick half hour, apologies for that - but what could James Herriot have got (or not) out of Nikita? James Herriot was a vet wasn't he?

If Layton has got any sense they'll do something entirely different.
I'd be thrilled if they could do One Night in Bangkok from Chess.
The only thing against that would be that Nikita has already done a chess-inspired tango with Tilly, which is a shame as Bangkok is a banger!

In Ireland, Kai had partners aged from 19-46, not pigeon-holed at all.
Maybe he'll get a young one next year?
Gorka should have an older contestant really but is due a ringer next time round. Kai should get a younger one and let Neil do the Anton shtick (albeit then with an inevitable early boot, Neil then gets slated).
Or Carlos could have the older woman next year.

Kev had Anneka because he'd won with Stacey. Aljaz might have felt he was being groomed to be Anton but even then, he had Clara before Sara.
Truth is, many of the older signings probably asked for Tony Beak as part of their signing up. Ann certainly did.

She was very upset but just not a natural dancer.

Just rewatched it. Mollie and Carlos look like they'd just finished a vet's shift(red washing up gloves). They were doing Prince ffs. Should have gone for purple latex if they had to do it.
