Off work poorly so used the time wisely to binge watch ghosts final series

I loved the ending, was a lump in the throat

Loved the episode with the neighbour - sharing the wagon wheel was such an appreciated gesture

Gutted about the Captain's story, I felt really bad for him, even if he hadn't accessed the celebration but managed to catch the other chap however briefly, feel really sad that he died misunderstood by so many, being challenged and labelled an imposter pretending g he saw action , only the briefest of touches to acknowledge his love that could never be revealed.

I was so excited this morning to see a new series, then sad to find out it's the last. I've not seen the episode yet, but I'm wondering how thy will end the series, wedding, baby, death, move, all the ghosts leave, move house???

It's a great end to the show, and robyn has a chat in one episode saying he has had enough, he has seen enough, its very sad, he is a brilliant character, quite understated at times

I gave up and watched them all today. Friday is my day off to catch up on admin and food shop do that went well. DH and DD most perplexed by omlette and beans dinner

we know the captains name. Finally. That episode was sad and i was so surprised to gind out how kitty died. I was expecting more of an ending to the series but i guess with the xmas special they couldnt have a final ending like a huge fire or a death/sucked off.

Just finished watching episode 1. So funny. The opening scene…🤣

I enjoyed finding out more about kitty , the captain and Robin. I did feel the ending was a bit meh. Hopefully the Xmas special will have a proper ending.

And glad that humphrey got his head back for a bit. I thought the Captain's death was really awful, so sad.

Mike was completely annoying as usual. Alison should get rid and live in the house just her, the baby and the ghosts!

And obviously the line dancing was amazing.

Robin speaking French was just inspired.

Such an amazing series, so funny and yet it occasionally grabs your emotions in such a touching way. A talented bunch of people.

Im so disappointed!! That was it?? Where's the nice little story lines all wrapped up with a bow?

Loved the season but needs a couple more episodes!

I was gutted about the captain I understand his love couldn't be requited as he is so stiff upper lip and trying to keep his feelings hidden, but to be blocked and being called a fraud, I was gutted!

I loved the captains story, was disappointed at the ending. Wanted things to tie up a bit more, at the very least Alison to go into labour but preferably Mike to see the ghosts too.

I'm guessing this will ve part of the Christmas final? I hope so...

I wanted the baby to come and be able to see the ghosts.

I loved it but agree kitty’s death was a bit of a damp squib. Loved Robyn. He’s my favourite.

I love this show but I do think that both series 4. & 5 have been a bit lacking compared to the earlier series . I know there is a Christmas special planned but I thought it would be a more definite ending .

I have just finished watching series 5. As others have also mentioned, I was expecting more from the final episode, but I’m guessing this will be because there is a Christmas special. I did enjoy the series though.

I completely missed the fact we learnt the Captain’s maiden name, and I missed it! Can someone tell me what is was please?

Did anyone else struggle to understand the relevance of the scene with Mike’s friend (Obe?) being so upset about being ‘dumped’ (even though it was a misunderstanding!)?

As ever bits I loved - Robin talking French, Atomic Kitty making Humphrey whole again, line dancing.

I kinda loved Kitty's death actually - all the time we think it must be something to do
with Elenor and I loved that it wasn't, I need to watch the Captains again as dds were talking over it a bit.

I did also enjoy Mike and Barclay in the safe and Lady Button wanting Alison to find her spunk.

The last episode felt a bit anti climactic though. I had forgotten Alison didn't know it was Julian who pushed her so it didn't come across as a big secret reveal. Hopefully Christmas will be a bit more of an event ending (obvs baby Button).

Oh and Julian shagging the plague Ghost. Nice

I think Mike and Alisons friend was just there to show how they were all growing up and didn't want to party much anymore. I think? It was a boring plot line anyway. I thought great, Alison's going to see dead people at the bar. Nope.

I preferred this series to the last one because it gave us more info on some of the ghosts backstories. A bit funnier too.

And I see they nicked the getting locked in a soundproof safe storyline from US Ghosts!

Also, I thought Julian didn't mean to.push her, he was trying to pinch her bum which I know is still bad but he didn't mean to kill her! Alison and the other ghosts were acting like he intended to push her out of the window but he didn't.

Can't believe I'm defending a lecherous tory mp 🤣

I binge watched it last night and it was sooo good. I like that Kitty’s sister showed some remorse. Looking forward to the Christmas episode, but gutted that will be it. I love Ghosts so much. The Christmas episode where Alison is playing the piano and they’re all singing In The Bleak Midwinter made me cry!

That episode made me cry too! Although in fairness that carol is hauntingly beautiful...

Julian's apology was great - the honesty from him for the first time ever that yhisxwas the best they'd ever had and he didn't want to lose them 😭

I binged the series last night but I was surprised that the last episode was the final. But I suppose it couldn't be a final final as there's (thank God!) a Christmas special.

I was slightly concerned they were leading up to Captain feeling so ashamed at being called a fraud that he killed himself, so I'm glad that it was a heart attack, and that he got to see his love for one last time.

I was also pleased that Kitty's sister was redeemed. I mean, I think that was just for us to see and none of the ghosts saw so they probably don't know she was so upset at Kitty's death bed, but maybe Kitty heard her. The earlier episode seeing how much Kitty loved her and how awful she was to Kitty was very sad so I'm glad she did actually love Kitty in the end and admitted to being vile to her.
