cant stand the Ringah thing ! And even Shirl mentioned that Layton was not trained in Ballroom with a straight face

Layton should not be competing. He is a trained professional dancer. It doesn’t matter if he hasn’t done much ballroom - he still is a professional dancer and the skills transfer into other types of dance.
He will never be voted out as even if he is in the bottom 2 he will always win against his opponent as he has years and years of dance and performance training.
It goes against the whole idea of Strictly - a professional dancer and a celebrity (not s professional dancer plus another professional dancer). And the fact that he can never be voted out (as he will always win the dance off) makes it even worse. There is no point in voting.

Voted Bobby, Annabel, Nikita

Loved Nigel, Layton, Amanda, Angela S and Ellie, but they don't need the votes.

Voted Amanda, AngelaR and Krishan.

Not bothered enough to vote at the moment. The judges votes have been silly at times but they often are. I want to like Shirley but she just isn't objective enough to be head judge.

Leyton has basically already won it and he knows it - he can never be voted off as he will always win the dance off (as he is a professional dancer). It’s pointless voting.

The final is voters only so he's through to the final but if he doesn't have a personality transplant won't win. Voters dislike ringers especially arrogant ones

Layton won't win but he will be in the final even if he ends up in every dance off from week 7. I like Layton, but didn't think I would. He is getting some heat for being the ringiest ringer on social media and even on here, and most people don't vote for ringers to win.

I don’t like the way the person at the bottom of the leaderboard gets 4 points instead of just one, when there are tied scores higher up the board. They should dish out the points from the bottom up, so Les would have just 1 point, and Layton at the top with 12. I’m sure that’s how it works in sports, isn’t it?

I voted for Katya and Nigel. It may not have been technically perfect (although I didn't notice) but it had feeling and I enjoyed it. Also chucked Johannes and Annabell a vote as i'd like like her to stay.

The scoring system is due to the Great Semi-Final Debacle of Series 6 when Lisa and Rachel tied at the top of the leader board meaning that under the old system Tom Chambers couldn't stay out of the dance-off no matter how many votes he got. They could have made several fixes to stop that happening again, but the one they chose is the one that we have now.

I remember that, but Les has 4 points! He should only have 1! He has 3 free points! It’s an advantage when combined with the public’s points which bar a miracle are never going to tie!

I'd be staggered if he won. Remember that the judges have no say in the final. Unless Layton is filmed bravely rescuing a box of disabled orphan puppies from a house fire in the next month the smart money is on him getting to late November without a dance-off, being in a couple of dance-offs in the quarters/semis which he cruises through, then losing to Ellie/Nigel/Bobby in the final. Obviously in a world where Abbie Clancy won, nothing is certain, but that's the obvious course of events.

Voting gets your favourites through to the final and then decides the winner. It's the opposite of pointless.

Oh gosh I'm on catch up and came on to say this...he does like to get his face in a crotch as soon as possible doesn't he 😆😆

I was actually saying to DH that I hoped these women have outstanding personal hygiene.

I loved Layton's dance tonight but I will never vote for him. When I get my arse in gear I will be voting Amanda. Women Won't Wheesht

Yes Layton was good but he's just a total ringer. I don't know if all his training was contemporary (but he has had training - there's video of it on you tube) but that teamed with his stage dancing and singing experience puts him in a different league and it's just not really the game is it.

Is he the biggest ringer we've had though?

I enjoyed watching Layton dancing tonight but I'll never vote for him.

He's the ringer to beat all ringers. The BBC have been unfair, putting him on the show.

I don't know what you would get from being at such an advantage in a competition. Plus if he'd watched Strictly before, he'd know that ringers never win. I've never really minded before because it's nice to watch hood dancing you, but Nigel is that for me. Layton is just too good, even by the usual ringah standards

And YY to Women Won't Wheesht.

I’m watching on catch up, and just came on to say my favourite dance was Angela and Kai. But that was before I saw Layton! I know he’s a ringer but that was gorgeous to watch. However, my emotional moment was watching Angela as she reminds me so much of my late DM, who was also a fabulous dancer.

Aah poor Angela having to wear that Dame Edna wig! Can't believe she's 78, she's so elegant.

Bobby's very charismatic. Les can barely move - does he have bad arthritis or something? Saw him in 42nd Street recently and he looked in pain then too.

I'd put him level with Ashley Pussycat.

Les has apparently done some musical stuff on stage over the years, but it really hasn’t helped him with his dancing. He was in productions of Chicago, High School Musical 2, Legally Blonde, The Addams Family, HMS Pinafore, and Hairspray.
