Gorgeous! Louisa was wonderful, but I thought “Twinkly Uncle Len” was very harsh on a first week dance.

Yes, "Don't get me wrong" has been used at least twice for quickstep.

Once by Harry Judd and Aliona whose quickstep was phenomenal, and the most recent one was James Bye and Amy, which really doesn't compare.

I completely agree about Claudia, she’s a one off! I love her. ❤️

I think Claudia is great. Very naturally witty. Tess gets bad press, but seems to be on the ball and a consummate professional tbf.

I wouldn’t replace Tess and Claudia. I think they’re both great.

The only thing I’d change is the Sunday night pretence. I’d prefer the results show to be broadcast live. But I do understand that this would be difficult for young children who would be agitating to stay up and knackered the next day if allowed!

I love Tess & Claudia. I know Tess gets a hard time on here but i think shes great - consummate professional & always supportive of the contestants. Cant be easy making it all hang together and yet she does make it look easy.

I like the two presenters as well

Par for the course in showbiz. Patrick Stewart is 83 and his wife is 44.

Patrick Stewart was an unnaturally hot 68 years old when he met his future wife though. I admit it's a huge age gap, but you can kind of see her viewpoint. Les Dennis not so much.

"Decades younger"? Seventeen years is a fairly big age gap , but decades it ain't. Now, the Patrick Stewart gap really is decades!

Looking at photos from the time, Les still had quite a boyish look about him when he married Amanda Holden; she was much less stylised and obviously wanting to progress her career - she appeared as a contestant on Blind Date in the beginning, iirc - so a showbiz marriage made in heaven, really.

Strictly Insta page confirms that there will be a Barbie themed pros group dance.

I was just doing a sinus rinse (utterly charming in manner of an Angela Rippon arm waft- Not) and thinking, when I'm in charge of Strictly:

Movie and Musical will be one week.

Couples Choice will be one week (they all get overmarked on it because of the nans, journeys, and dead people so at least make it fair by getting all the weeping done in one go)

Blackpool will be old fashioned arm hankies week.

Dry ice and CG animals will be banned.

I have often wondered why movie week doesn't include movies that may be musicals; M&M week is the answer :)
(They could ditch Halloween week altogether, or just have a themed pro dance rather than Halloween overkill.)

I'm a bit disappointed with the missed opportunity of dressing Katya as Catwoman, as I think it would really suit her.
They will be jiving to the camp 60s version of Batman. It could either go horribly wrong or be genius with Katya's wacky choreography.

Poor Luba has drawn the short straw of having to dress as Luigi.

Amanda seems to have a dance that others are not doing two weeks in a row. I'm not keen on the rumba, but at least it's out of the way.

Amanda is likely to be good at the rumba, she has gorgeous arms and feet.

I wonder if Shirley's comment about not being able to wait to see Amanda doing a rumba was factored in.
Must admit, I can do without a cha-cha (cha) for a few weeks.

Thinking about Katya's choreography with things like the Full Monty and Gangnam Style, I think that it's the Batman jive that's going to be epic.

What a shame they can't do the fake climbing up a building which always made me laugh.

And I've finally remembered who Nigel's teeth remind me of - Tim Henman.

I'm sorry everyone, but I don't watch East Enders or Casualty so the one and only role I've seen Nigel Harman in was when he played Green, the valet who raped Anna in Downton Abbey.

And I can't get past that scene. So I can't bear him.

And I know that's bonkers.
