Hmm that video of Layton shows good rhythm and the ability to strut and strike a pose, I'll be curious to see how he does as part of a couple, because there wasn't much "dancing" going on.

Leyton was Jamie in the musical tour last year and he was running dance classes in the cities they visited…

I think that Claudia is making some contestant announcements on her Radio 2 show tomorrow morning.

That's what I thought of that strutting display as well, but I've looked him up and he's also danced with Matthew Bourne's company New Adventures, and they don't take just anybody.

I dont mind a small amount of ringing - a lot of famous people will have been to stage school, but Layton is ringing way too loudly.

I'm very pleased about Amanda Abbington. She's always been very pro-women. When she's done celebrity quiz shows her winnings have gone to domestic abuse charities. Good for her. My favourite so far.

Maybe Katya should be given a ringer this year. She's been punished enough now

Great suggestion @MeinKraft Katya would be great, her routines are so creative it would be good to see what she could do with someone really talented (Joe didn't count 😆).

I suspect that Layton might get high marks from the judges, and not so many votes from the audience...

I think when they're such a ringer, people feel it's a bit unsporting.

Perhaps he'll have a grandma or a cute dog that can be trotted out as a mitigating factor!

I'm sure Layton will be paired with a male pro. He said on the One Show that that was what he wanted - there's no way they'd let him say that and then pair him with a woman.

Although I've got my heart set on Kai for him, someone on DS suggested Nikita, who might also be an interesting option: a quieter personality though a flamboyant dancer and it could be a reward for doing such a good job with Ellie.

Well I've heard of one out of the three. But part of the fun is getting to know them as it goes on, don't you think?

Just place marking . Love Amanda Abington. Layton Williams is practically a professional dancer although Ashley Roberts did well so he probably will too. I can't see Angela Ripon lasting long.

That's summer over then and the countdown to Christmas has started! The first three contestants look good. I know who Amanda and Angela are but I don't know Layton at all.
