No, I couldn't either. She's 78 and that's inspiring but she has got a solid background in live choreography not just the village ballet school.

Love Amanda Abington - think she might be good in a did ballet as a kid type till a teen type way

Knew about Angela rippon- my jury is still out on whether she will go the distance or not

Layton Williams - is one of this year's ringers. His couple choice will be something else imo

Oh yes, Angela has really solid dance training, it's just not nearly at the same level of professional experience as Debbie or indeed Layton. I apply the passport test: if the profession on your passport has ever read Dancer then you're a proper ringer. Debbie, Ashley, Layton (and indeed Danny JJ for all the good it did him), yes. Angela, no.

Amanda is another level down again, but my other rule of thumb is that there's a big big gap in ability between the millions of little girls who did ballet at primary school age and then quit and the few who stuck at it to their late teens. Nobody sticks at ballet past puberty unless they're actually reasonably good at it.

That's what I mean- reckon Amanda mentioned ballet in her RADA application. If you have up before aged 10 then you wouldn't

On a personal note can't believe how much has changed in the last year. When the show starts il be living with my boyfriend and be training a puppy. Last year I was very much single. Crazy what can happen in a year

It would be good if Nadiya got a ringer for a change, but she's usually paired up with taller celebs.

I think Layton will be outstanding and flamboyant, and as much as I like Johannes, I don't want him paired up with him.

Angela is a legend. Like Amanda. Hadn't heard of Layton before the rumours but surely he is a ringer too far. My former dance teacher has sons who all appear in West End musicals and touring productions and they've all been dance trained from toddlerhood. I can see him going far but standing no chance of winning. As last year proved, it's a bit boring when you know someone is going to knock people out in the dance-offs but is never going to win the show.

Kai for Layton please! He's done a same sex partnership on DWTS Ireland, he was slashtastic in his dance with Johannes and I think his more laidback and ironic personality will help Layton's public vote.

I don't tend to vote for the ringers myself, but I like to see them staying in long enough to do some amazing dances, and I don't like them having their spirits crushed with repeated dance-offs.

I believe the “solution” to the bankruptcy was the usual one, i.e. she agreed with the creditors to pay off a % of the debt, and that was that. The whole debt was never paid and he didn’t step in.

Angela is, IIRC, the first ever former Dancing On Ice contestant to do Strictly. She was only in it for about 30 seconds before getting voted off though.
