I found the Jack and Dee scenes a bit jolting since we've seen them together at Lola's funeral etc and no mention of Ravi or any other signs of animosity, then last night BAM sleeping on the sofa and Jack bitching at Dee like a whiney little brat, I kept thinking wait, have I missed something? Maybe I have?!

Yes it does. Saying that I had family move.to England with young children and the kids now adults still have a Scottish accent.

My friend was born & brought up in Germany by an English mum & a German dad and he has a perfect English accent, so their accents are possible (although in this instance, I think that given how bad their acting is, the producers decided to allow them to use their own voices!)

On Corrie, Bethany Platt lived in Milan from the age of 5 or 6 till 16 or 17 and came back speaking broad Mancunian.

The lack of a photo is definitely weird. The accents, not so much. I know a family who emigrated when their children were young, returning decades later. Two of the DC had acquired the accent of their adopted home, while the other two sounded as if they'd never left their home town.

Do you remember Vicky returning from the US with a strong American accent and then suddenly speaking like a cockney 😂

Oh god yes bet that actress had "Midwestern " on her cv and they hired her it was awful.
