I just go in once a week or so too, chat to her the same as the other staff but don't know her as such.

Thanks! I really hope that she writes a Northern Thailand recipe book where she makes the recipes accessible for people who cannot source the full range of ingredients. It is my favourite cuisine.

TheKobayashiMaru · 04/06/2023 07:37

Based on the final feedback I was sure Anurag had won but I am SO pleased for Chariya. She was my favourite 😍

Bit late to the party, but who's that ridiculous "extra" who has appeared out of nowhere, just for his moment of fame "Denis, you've got 5 minutes left" "Denis, it's time to plate up now" - complete with hand signals . Grinds my gears

ArcaneWireless · 11/06/2023 17:50

Agreed deltablue

It took nowt to the party.

Sharpening my filleting knife. Packing my pin boning tweezers. Checking my butchery skills.

Halsall · 16/06/2023 13:46

Foraging.

jay55 · 16/06/2023 14:25

Have heard of about half.
Will likely want to mute Luca and Terry Christian.

CurlewKate · 16/06/2023 14:43

I don't want Michael Praed to be old.....

TheKobayashiMaru · 16/06/2023 14:59

I feel old, I only know 3 of them

Pebbledashery · 16/06/2023 20:01

Do we know when it starts so I can get the obligatory thread ready?

I think they’re still keeping it vague at the moment Pebble - just 'this summer' so far.

Ellenanora7 · 16/06/2023 22:23

Hi @Pebbledashery will you give me a shout when you know the start date in case I miss it....thanks 😃

It's the celebrity one Viques so you may be ok with a barely sharp knife, some ready made pastry and an air fryer! 😊

I have standards, even if they don’t, and anyway, there is always one, they are easy to spot, week one they can’t open a packet of cornflakes, week two they are serving cheese soufflés with foraged truffles and home made sour dough bread with butter made from their own goats.

So true!

Groutyonehereagain · 19/06/2023 04:02

A very well deserved win. I loved her and her food was amazing. What a great series that was. I’ve watched every episode right from the very first Masterchef and that series was a corker. It’s great to see it so fresh after so long.

Is halva normally made from lentils?

Mung dal Halwa is made from yellow lentils. It is very popular in India. There are several different types of halwas with different main ingredients like carrot, semolina, gram flour and even potato.

Thanks for the clarification @Caramelatt! I’m more familiar with the Middle Eastern halva made from sesame/tahini.
