Awww, that's a warm and cosy ending. Lovely woman .

bomanicious · 01/06/2023 20:59

She kicked ass, but no offence, can we drop the dead gramps thing? It's not X Factor.

Pebbledashery · 01/06/2023 20:59

Thank you so much you lovely lot. See you all for celebrity and professionals. One love.

Oh bless her ! It's been a fab series and thank you for your excellent company Chuffians.

GrouchyKiwi · 01/06/2023 21:00

Thank you for your lovely company, Chuffs. It's the best watching this with you.

See you for Slebs!

littlbrowndog · 01/06/2023 21:01

She reminds me of thomasina miers. Same steely determination

bomanicious · 01/06/2023 21:02

Thank you for your company everyone, lots of laughs.

Til next time (although I'll probs be under another namechange!)

ilovesooty · 01/06/2023 21:03

See you all later. Till next time!

viques · 01/06/2023 21:04

And that’s it. See some of you in the Sewing Room workshop next week, when the contestants will be repurposing the tear and jus stained chefs whites of broken dreams ripped from the weeping bodies of failed Masterchef entrants .

thanks for your company, it is always comforting to know that my hatred of Gregg is a perfectly normal human response and not a sign that I am a raging psychopath.

Davros · 01/06/2023 21:07

I thought she was the best of the three before the final then it seemed clear to me that Anurag would win based on the last challenge. I'm shocked

Blueberrycreampie · 01/06/2023 21:10

Thanks for all company. See you for the next series.

WhiskersPete · 01/06/2023 21:11

Well, thanks for the great company everyone and see you next time!

TroysMammy · 01/06/2023 22:02

@CurlewKate a risotto spoon is a wooden spoon with a hole in the middle. Sounds fancy but it really isn't.

Lovely stuff.

The supreme goddess that is Monica had best get queuing 😊

ChicoryDip · 02/06/2023 00:46

Just coming on to say thank you to @Pebbledashery for all of the threads and to you lovely Chuffians for great company and fun.

Sorry to have missed you all this week but looking forward to catching up with all the regulars for the next series.

longtompot · 02/06/2023 12:40

I watched this late last night and thought, for sheer inventiveness, Omar should have won, but my heart was behind Chariya the whole time. It was amazing out of all the dishes, the only negative comment was the parsnip being a bit dry. There was a year that there were joint winners, but I think that was on the professional one and I was furious. Such a cop out.

Just finished watching the final. Knew she was gonna win it. Funny how I knew that but can never guess anyone on masked singer!

Was a bit weird watching anurag vt in the snow when it's been over 22 degrees here for about the last week.

Thanks for all the threads.

When is sleb one on as I don't watch professional.

WhiskersPete · 01/06/2023 20:03

Ah I miss Endang.

Endang was amazing and she had THE most beautiful face in the world 😍

Stalkedbyzombies · 03/06/2023 12:24

I thought Chariya was lovely but struggled in the round before unlike Anurag whose spreadsheets never failed him once. I think she edged it because of him playing it safe (rogan josh - though a divine rogan josh no doubt, it is on every Indian restaurant menu in the UK).
He also started by saying that he was going to cook whatever he had been cooking and eating all his life. Nowadays, you have to sneak in proof in the final round that you have gained something from all the final week experiences (Oman and the potato blankets, Chariya and the pressed squid crackers). He also did three out of three Indian dishes whereas Chariya emphasised that her desert was British cuisine (didn't look very nice though, sponge was done in the microwave which should have been flagged and pistachio was a faint flavour which could have been flagged but wasn't).

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 03/06/2023 17:47

@Ionacat which Alton is Chariya based? I hope it's Hanta as that's close to us!

For me it's John Torode who gets my loathing!

Ionacat · 03/06/2023 17:52

Yes it’s Alton in Hampshire. She has a lovely coffee roasters which as well as beans and ground coffee does take away coffee, tray bakes and bubble tea.

Sounds lovely. Do you know if she has any kids? They mainly showed her friends in the intro

Ionacat · 03/06/2023 17:57

No idea - I just go in once a week to get our coffee beans and coffee unless the DC con me into getting bubble tea!
