Me too!

elliejjtiny · 30/05/2023 21:09

Nooo I love Charlie. I hope he gets a really good exit though with lots of old characters coming back.

Jagley · 30/05/2023 21:10

Oh no! I didn't know Charlie was leaving, I know he had to eventually but it won't be the same. I hope they write him a good send off.

spiderlight · 30/05/2023 21:12

Thanks for the new thread.

Hellocatshome · 30/05/2023 21:14

Thanks for the new thread. I hope he gets a dramatic exit and one he cant come back from. Maybe a helicopter crash.

Bobbybobbins · 30/05/2023 21:16

Great thread title!

Kiwano · 30/05/2023 22:11

Perhaps they'll do one of those ultra-dramatic episodes where a plane falls on the hospital or something.

Optimist1 · 31/05/2023 06:23

Inspired by another thread, I'd love Charlie to experience spontaneous human combustion.

Whenwillglorioussummercome · 31/05/2023 08:18

I think he’ll decide he’s been wasting himself as a nurse all these years and head off to drama school.

You are very bold @Whenwillglorioussummercome 😂

LadyEloise1 · 31/05/2023 08:39

Bold as in naughty - it's an Irish expression.

Whenwillglorioussummercome · 31/05/2023 08:54

Like Charlie, I am familiar with the ways of the Irish meself.

WestendVBroadway · 31/05/2023 09:22

I imagine he has been looking anywhere but camera wise all this time to avoid seeing the autocue that says ""Charlie collapses with fatal heart attack." I certainly won't miss his overacting armswhich were in fact the only part of him that were animated

😲

(Though 😆 really.)

I'd quite like to see him die and then reanimate, and the reek havoc on the ED.

Risk is with this is no one would notice he's no actually alive.

HAHAHA

I hope he stands there with his hand behind his head looking really puzzled as if he's never seen a patient before one more time

Snozzlemaid · 31/05/2023 17:40

I've been watching Brookside on STV and Casualty's Charlie has appeared in the episodes released today!
Heather (Amanda Burton) has gone home to Belfast and she's met a young Charlie with an Irish accent.

spiderlight · 31/05/2023 17:43

Apparently the thousand-yard stare is because the actor has dystonia in his neck muscles and has to have them paralysed with Botox. You'd think he would have worked out where to stand so that he's looking at least vaguely towards the person he's talking to by now though.

LlynTegid · 31/05/2023 19:22

I think that his exit should be the final ever episode. Time to call it a day after 36 years.

You are naughty ! 😂😂😂

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 01/06/2023 11:54

Will they actually give him an exit though? Or will he simply have a completely normal final episode (standing looking baffled and then delivering his one line) and then suddenly quit and walk out with no notice period whatsoever (see all other exits recently).

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 01/06/2023 12:10

I simply don't believe it. He's 'left' so many times that, unless Max literally feeds him into a garden shredder, I'll always be waiting for him to reappear.

SgtCatherineCawood · 01/06/2023 14:01

DH said I hope they give him a happy ending and I said NOOOO he needs killing off or will be back the next week!!

EBearhug · 01/06/2023 19:06

He's still on screen till next year. I'm not getting excited yet.
