Counting down to the long awaited day!

I'm getting very bored of BIG drama/incidents with staff. So far Jodie has been almost blown up by a bomb, had a gun pointed at her, been spiked and then been presumed missing but actually buying a kebab in a pub explosion. She's only been there a couple of months!
God knows how much drama Faith and Ian have had. I would like to see a move away from the staff being main stories back to the drama being around the patients.

It's like the writers for Hollyoaks in the early 2000s are now writing for Casualty. Have we had a serial killer yet? That must be the only thing they haven't done

SoupDragon · 03/07/2023 10:43

Buying a kebab is pretty risky too.

Whenwillglorioussummercome · 03/07/2023 10:46

Holby had the serial killer.

Hush, don't put the idea into their heads. I remember when The Bill reached the point when there were more criminals amongst the cops than there were out on the streets, up to and including the serial killer, and it just got unbelievably tedious.

I think that his exit should be the final ever episode. Time to call it a day after 36 years.

Noooo how can you say that 😱

Leave Charlie the fuck alone. He's an institution!! I don't get all the criticism of him?

I'm always prepared to suspend my disbelief though and just enjoy Casualty for what it is.

I know he's not the best but I do feel a bit bad for Charlie/Derek Thompson, reading all the comments about him on here

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/06/2023 21:12

Finally up to date and last nights as well!

Yes Ryan is gay but doesn't want his crew who sit on the kiddi room that is always empty know

Or that's my take on it

Hence he had sex with Jodie. Who said he was crap

Why don't they just say they are father and daughter. Be much easier

Finally ian knows about her drug problem

I assumed the boy knocked the drink over as over the Carpet and didn't drink
Or when having a fit a

Jacobs new gf does sex online ? Like Stacey from ee?

I think they do know. He must be bi.

TrashyPanda · 18/06/2023 23:04

So true.
and they really haven’t bothered to give Rida a character at all.

Rida's got tonnes of character!

daffodilandtulip · 03/07/2023 22:12

Oh I like Rhida! I like Barney too but I'm guessing he can't be that good if I can't think of his character's name 😂

I want more leg chopping off with a combine harvester and electrical explosions from the toaster please! Stop with the staff!

purpleme12 · 03/07/2023 22:16

I think Rida has become one of my favourites actually.
Barney is Cam

I’m sure he comforts himself with his enormous salary.

MrsMoastyToasty · 04/07/2023 00:11

I've watched Casualty since Charlie Fairhead first drove over the Clifton Suspension Bridge in his little old car ( followed by a van that was owned by DH's employers at the time). I think it's time he should go through as there's not much more he can take.
I do like Donna and I think that something will happen between her and Dylan.
However I find it frustrating that Faith has 3 children who seem to have disappear quite conveniently unless brought into A&E for treatment.

purpleme12 · 04/07/2023 00:37

That's just usual for the children. I wouldn't expect anything different.

SoupDragon · 04/07/2023 08:13

I don't think there's anything wrong with not seeing Faith's children unless they are part of a storyline involving the main characters. They're just background really. Same goes for spouses (Ffionn for example).

Kiwano · 04/07/2023 09:45

That expensively kitted out children's room still bugs me. Why is it totally unused? Why would a hospital have a facility like that and leave it gathering dust? I keep wanting a load of children plus an indignant play therapist to burst in on the nurses and chuck them out.

HobnobsChoice · 04/07/2023 11:06

Considering they are strapped for bed and cubicle space I'm surprised they haven't shoved all the toys in an office and stuck a bed or two in there. Holby seems to both a massive and tiny hospital at the same time.

SoupDragon · 04/07/2023 11:55

What happened to the kid's A&E some past doctor campaigned about ? Is that the baby nurses' play room?

AnImaginaryCat · 05/07/2023 11:46

Also, I'm pretty sure they had an extra on, several months ago, who was a play therapist shown to be taking charge of a child whose mother was a patient.

Another explosion

And finally they know it's father and daughter

Jodie was worried about max. He does care for him as dad

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/07/2023 13:53

Well done cam for standing up to Ryan

creativebutterfly · 08/07/2023 15:33

Is it on today

I can't see it on the schedule for today, no.

MadisonAvenue · 08/07/2023 17:53

It’s back next week I think.

daffodilandtulip · 08/07/2023 22:04

Look Mr BBC. We all love to hate it ... but we hate it more when you just turn it off for something "better". You have four channels.

purpleme12 · 08/07/2023 22:05

I don't hate it
