I really didn't rate any of the other songs but what do I know!

When last night's show was over, I was chatting with my DH and he was looking on line at the betting odds and he said (at the time) Australia were 150/1 to win so if I thought it was any good, I should put a bet on. I didn't but he did 😉

Fingers crossed for tomorrow evening so!

I see the bookies have the U.K. as favourite to finish last. Oh dear.

Not surprising me at this point tbh!

I quite like the UK entry but some of those really 'out there' songs (Croatia for one) are likely to score well just because they're so whacky and who doesn't love a group of guys of a certain age in Y-fronts

Reserving judgement on the others, until I've had a few more listens. Loreen's song has the same vibe as 'Euphoria' to my mind which seems a bit lazy.

Not keen on the French, Spanish or Portuguese entries but do rate the Italian one.

Is there no jury vote at all this year, even in the final? RIP Eurovision if so.

I haven’t heard all the songs, I like the final to be a bit of a surprise so don’t watch the semis, but I have heard Sweden’s song and find it really pedestrian and boring. People seem obsessed with Loreen for some reason, it’s kind of weird.

Where's Poland? I am a fan of their entry.

I like the UK entry, but I don't think she sounded good last night sadly.

Yes there is a jury vote for the final as usual. They didn't have it for the Semi-Finals this year.

Completely agree, she was pretty flat on her vocals. Even if she gets them better on Saturday I think Poland and Israel who I'd say have a similar type of song are also much better performers.

Why is Spain so high in the betting odds? I just can’t get into it. It reminds me of France from last year (in Breton, bookies had it in the top 10, finished in 24th position).

The Spanish entry isn't easy to listen to. It's a bit niche. Agree it reminds me of the French/Breton song last year.

My Finnish DIL is desperate for him to win. She's hoping a Finnish win would mean next year its at the Nokia Stadium in Tampere which is a €2.70 tram ride away from their flat 😄
