Just binge-watched the whole series. I thought the first three or four episodes were really very funny, but then it seemed t go off the rails a bit and there was one episode where just about everyone in it (apart from the lovely colleagues in the microbrewery ) was really nauseating.

Agree with an earlier poster that the guardian review was puzzling. I read it before seeing the show and it led me to expect something very different. She's definitely a familiar comedy-type, likeable and funny but nothing like the guardian's take.

Colin was excellent of course.

"She's" implies you were looking for someone to reflect what you could say to others in comparison. It's sad you can't see how much she humiliates herself for comedy.

The Guardian's take might not be yours sometime. That's okay.

Binge watched all the second series Very very good and some great characters
Loved the episode involving Gordan's family

Ref the final episode - Why did you do it Gordon!!! It was soo embarrassing, sad and out of character
Really hoping for a third series as there is plenty of material to work with

I thought season 2 was, if anything, better than season 1. More consistent, and Gordon’s family was so well done. Ash and Gordon were funny and sweet and tender together, and I think they bring a lot of their real selves to the roles. Bring on season 3!

I just watched episode 4 where the new girlfriend holds out her hand for the hat and Gordon misunderstands and tries to hold her hand, for some reason that really tickled me 🤣.

I liked series one a lot , but two is a bit more bitty and abrasive at times. I stuck with it , but I didn't enjoy it as much as season one and although you are meant to root for them as a couple , they are mismatched.
The dog is cute still and did deserve to do the ads.

I didn't think season 2 started all that well, but then it just caught fire and I'm loving it! Just watched Gordon's unspeakable family. One to go! Hope they do another season.

I've just finished season 2, loved it but yes was very frustrated by the ending!! Just as everything was going so well.

My favourite episode was the one where Ash falls asleep on the train, it just got funnier and funnier.
