Anyone else watching? Loving it.

The two leads are married in real life and wrote it.

@Newnamenewname109870 I hated Ash’s friends and thought Bandit was the weakest episode of the series. The final one is worth waiting for, though.

It was so good. I really want another season now. Look how I backtracked!

StellaGibson2022 · 19/04/2023 22:58

I found it a real joy to watch and have recommended to everyone.

I am also a secret Heart Guy fan and also really enjoyed the Letdown.

If anyone has any other Australian TV recommendations please let me know!

The Letdown is pretty good
Wellmania was ok, nothing special imo but an easy watch

I think 'Offspring' was written by the same team as 'Colin from Accounts'? Or maybe just one of the writers?

It's about a Melbourne obstetrician with an eventful love life and 'interesting' relatives. I thought the first 5 seasons were excellent but it did go a bit downhill after that. Still worth a watch.

CaptainMyCaptain · 20/04/2023 09:06

There was a series called Bump about a pregnant school girl which was good and pulled no punches but was still funny. I think its target audience was teenagers - the birth scene should be shown in schools to put them off sex forever.

Five Bedrooms on iplayer is wonderful!

Umanresources · 20/04/2023 10:26

I've been watching Colin and really enjoyed it. The two leads wrote it and the thing that happened at the beginning of the second episode was based on something that happened to then in real life.

Is that the bath-related thing?

HonorHiding · 20/04/2023 10:46

Oh - maybe the bedside table thing!

I think another incident may have been inspired by this news story from 2017:

I thought it was good. Nothing spectacular but sometimes you need an easy watch

I couldn't work out why she did that to be honest. The problem was the flush handle not working not a blockage so a bucket of water thrown down would have done the job (no pun intended).

SirChenjins · 20/04/2023 14:18

No, there was no water - she tried the tap and the shower

SirChenjins · 20/04/2023 14:18

Oh sorry, you mean the person in the news article!

It is the bedside table thing. 😂 One of my exes told us about a time, after a few too many, went into his mum’s bedroom, lifted the lid of her musical jewellery box and weed on the ballerina. His parents were away at the time! My daughter was about 8 when he told us this. She’s never forgotten it and she thought he was so funny.

Not sure if it's still on Netflix but Offspring was good

It's about a obstetrician and her siblings and parents

No water in the whole place? OK then.

No I meant on the programme. The girl in the news article could have done it though.

SirChenjins · 20/04/2023 15:30

Apparently no water in the whole place. I don’t think it was meant to be taken too seriously though.

I know. It's just for the comedy but I'm too practical.

Rainbowqueeen · 21/04/2023 09:58

Rosehaven is a really funny series. Also The Librarians although that’s from about 7 years ago so not sure if it’s still available.

Also recommend Upper Middle Bogan

the80sweregreat · 21/04/2023 10:14

Gordon came home and said to Amy ' sorry , the waters off all day I forgot to tell you '
(Or something like that. ) He should have told her before leaving her on her own with Colin
I was more concerned that Colin had water tbh!

midsomermurderess · 21/04/2023 12:36

My Life is Murder is fun. It starts in Melbourne and moves to Auckland. Lovely settings, houses, clothes. It’s on Prime.
