Anyone else watching? Loving it.

The two leads are married in real life and wrote it.

Admittedly I only watched it because iI have border terrier and wanted to see Colin, but I thought it was brilliant. Colin was very well behaved for a BT and thoroughly cute. I really hope they do a second series.

Colin and his wheels and cones. It was obvious he could use his back legs, but seemed happy to drag his wheels around ! Bless him

Mangotango39 · 17/04/2023 13:27

I loved it too - hope the next season comes soon!

Could he?
Doesn't that discriminate against disabled dog actors?

SirChenjins · 17/04/2023 13:30

He’s self- identifying, so it’s ok

oh thank god

Mamapiggywig · 17/04/2023 13:32

Funniest thing on TV for ages

SirChenjins · 17/04/2023 13:36

Professor Lee is obviously as sleazy AF but so well played!

the80sweregreat · 17/04/2023 13:37

Dh and I spotted Colin using his back legs! ..

the80sweregreat · 17/04/2023 13:39

The Prof was horrible:(
Why Amy continued to see her mum was a mystery. Maybe a sense of duty there ?

I got irritated by them half way through the first episode.

Yes, that's where I left it too

MagpiePi · 17/04/2023 13:45

I finished watching it last night.
It took me a couple of episodes to get into it but I really liked it.

I wasn’t sure why they both loved the (very cute) dog so much as they never seemed to interact with him.

Me too but I think I’ll try again seeing these reviews

SirChenjins · 17/04/2023 13:49

Just don’t overthink it - it’s easy watching comedy with a cute dog (and some cringetastic moments from the Prof).

I just didn’t find it funny and get bored easily but who knows I’ll try again

Bobshhh · 17/04/2023 20:36

I loved it and demand a second series straight away!

Tourist29 · 17/04/2023 21:52

The Gordon actor was in a really funny Australian TV comedy called The Moodys / a Moody Christmas- recommend it if anyone can find it.

Flipflops123 · 17/04/2023 22:21

Love it

SurpriseSparDay · 18/04/2023 06:51

Another who binge watched over the weekend.

It’s very hard to say why, though! As everyone says, the Guardian review over-promised; all the characters were stereotypes; most of the situations were cliched … Neither the cinematography nor the music were in any way exceptional. Much of the humour was childish. The clothes were horrible. And yet …

I suppose it was quite gentle-ing in the way it dealt with serious subjects - death in particular. There was a lot of ‘grace under pressure’ around illness. And I probably laughed out loud more often than watching anything else this year. The avaricious aunts alone justified the time spent.

Hmm … The last two things I’ve binged were MAFS Australia, and Rain Dogs. Colin From Accounts was a nice shot of ‘reality’ after those.

LadyEloise1 · 18/04/2023 20:14

I watched the first episode but haven't bothered with the second episode.

It gets funnier. I felt the same but I love it now.

Newnamenewname109870 · 19/04/2023 08:55

I really like how they touched on the cancer taboo. Really well done. The characters really grew on me.

ginlovingqueen · 19/04/2023 10:25

I liked it. Quirky and different romantic comedy

Newnamenewname109870 · 19/04/2023 22:07

Just watched Bandit (the one where they have Ash’s birthday party) and I really, really hate her friends! I don’t blame Gordon at all and Ash acted terribly.

HonorHiding · 19/04/2023 22:52

@Newnamenewname109870 I hated Ash’s friends and thought Bandit was the weakest episode of the series. The final one is worth waiting for, though.
