I know he's controversial but I do love Frankie Boyle...

Last night's episode was a lot of fun. Frankie seemed to be really enjoying himself

Ivo sitting in the caravan instead of the shed and then being too polite to hang up the phone on Jonathan to finish the task was Peak Ivo. I was helpless with giggles. Also loved Frankie giggling with glee at the drum task.

That’s one of my favourite ever moments too, along with the aforementioned Jo/David amble, Tree Wizard and both “Songs for Whoever”. I often catch myself singing “Rosalind’s a fucking nightmare” to myself at random moments 😂

Last nights episode was really good , they really are a good group to have together .

I also sing Tree Wizard to myself quite a lot!

For other Joe Wilkinson fans, have you seen the episode of Cats do Countdown where he does his poem about naming people's penises? Watching Sean Lock having a near breakdown crying with laughter is one of my favourite things.

But Mae totally cheated on the drums!! Not a 'clever' out of the box solution at all. But Greg fell for it and allowed it.

It was always obvious that the sand task was never going to really work. I wonder if there's been only one or two who broke the stream whether he would have allowed it, given how generous he'd been the Mae earlier.

Mae definitely cheated! Can't believe they got away with it. I was appalled. My appalled face rivals that of Kiell.

Am I coming across as smug?

Just watched this weeks. I definitely thought Mae saying she couldn't see her sand falling was trying to make up for earlier. I really liked her the first episode (even went and watched both seasons of their dire shite on Netflix) but already gone off them

There’s another controversial decision coming up in the episode I saw filmed. Afterwards they asked the audience if we would have allowed it or not and we all said no.

Mae was definitely cheating, but the more Kiell amd Frankie pointed it out, the more Greg was likely to let it go just to piss them off.

That's probably true - and it will have the side effect of mae getting more smug as they think Greg agrees that her solutions were somehow clever, when really it's more about pissing the others off. I won't look forward to seeing the next controversial decision! I really like Kiell, but since he reacts with a face when Greg says things against him, Greg will probably do it more and more now, and then he won't get the points he deserves. One of the things I like about Kiell is that although he makes a face and a kind of mock argument back, he totally accepts decisions against him with good humour, and is very open about how he thought he did well on things but really didn't, which makes him seem much more humble.

mae is boring , I hate the fact that im finding FB funny. he has always been on my must never watch list.

Yes, they made that point about Greg doing it to piss off the others on the podcast. TBH, that's part of what makes the show funny though.

Frankie Boyle is coming across far gentler than I thought. So different from his "work" persona. Even on this week's podcast he seems really nice. I was dreading him being on the show.

Really enjoyed this week's podcast, Frankie is funny and having fun.

Just had a ticket alert for Junior Taskmaster filming! 5 kids aged between 9 and 11! DS is 12 next month or he'd have loved to do it!!!

Loving their entrances in the one man band task, sadly honking their way in.

The spoons task is the funniest one ever. Mae sounding just like Micky Mouse; and Ivo answering back in the high pitched voice as well. I had to rewind it a couple of times because we were laughing so much!

Bizarrely, I didn't enjoy this week as much as usual. Not sure why, it just didn't grab me. I did like Frankie running away after his fake suicide though.

Ivo watching the spoon task back is up there with Joe Wilkinson's potato task for me - excruciating but also desperately funny. Every series I think 'I'm not sure I'm going to enjoy this lot as much as the previous series' but by the halfway point I've inevitably warmed to them all - as a PP said, TM seems to bring out the best in everyone. Except Iain Stirling, who was already known as Annoying Iain in this house after his CBBC quiz show hosting and lived up to the name and then some on TM.

Loving this year. Jenny is bloody hilarious. She and Mae actually had me and DH in stitches yesterday as they kept being so fecking hopeless at giving directions! I also may have a bit of a crush on Mae. 😋
Frankie is actually genuinely lovely IRL. Strongly principled, but v caring. Not surprised am loving him here.
Ivo is so sweet. Finding Kiel a bit meh but they may grow on me. Greg if you're reading, I WOULD DO VERY NAIGHTY THINGS TO YOU.

I haven't heard back from my application to be in the audience for the next one, but for the last one I only got told a few days beforehand, so fingers crossed!

Frankie's reputation is so overshadowed by the "dark" stuff for good or ill. It's lovely to see just how funny he is in an abstract space.
