New Taskmaster- anyone watching?

I know he's controversial but I do love Frankie Boyle...

Kiell is so like his character from Ghosts sometimes.

Putting Frankie and Ivo in a team together was inevitable and it did not disappoint. And the vagaries of the alphabet have them sitting next to each other as well.

Love TM and finding this cast good so far, decent chemistry, nice mix of personalities. I've found some previous line-ups just didn't work despite promise on paper. I think the chemistry really makes or breaks it for me, so glad to be enjoying so far. I agree that Kiell comes across as being very similar to his Ghosts character. Lfe all his little songs too...for me!!! 😄

AHHHHHHH! That’s where I knew him from. I knew he seemed familiar. Love Ghosts.

Love Jenni and Mae, I think it will be a good season.

We’ve just watched this weeks and are really enjoying this series - it’s much improved on the last one .

I am loving Jenny Eclair, she is as mad as a box of frogs isn't she! Loved her crashing the barge because that is exactly what I would end up doing!

Frankie Boyle is remarkable quiet I would say. Mae Martin is just beautiful... that's what I think anyway

I thought the playing and making their own instruments was just genius this week!

And Kiell... love him too... he does some brilliant one liners, very clever humour

Slightly off topic, but if anyone was a fan of John Kearns on the previous series, then have a listen to this weeks Off Menu podcast.

I didn't do the usual MN "spit my tea out" but I did actually laugh out loud.

Enjoying this season so far! Think Kiel is the 3rd cast member from Ghosts to be on it (after Charlotte and Lolly) so I’m sort of hoping they’ll work their way through all of them

@GMOOH2023 I absolutely hated that episode. I don’t know what it is about John Kearns but by the end of it I was even more convinced he was a twat than after he’d ruined the entire season of TM for me. I have never disliked a contestant so much.

My money has been on Kiell from the start - he’s really quick and funny, used to doing loads of improv, and he hasn’t disappointed so far (for me 😁)

I had hoped that Jenny and Frankie might have been paired up as an old curmudgeons’ team, but it’s all been very jolly fun so far. They are all great,and it’s a very balanced line up. Frankie’s natural self is very far from his stand up persona and I think we are seeing the former in this.

I couldn’t listen to the Taskmaster podcast when he was on that. It’s the only one I’ve not finished. I find his silences so annoying. I hated the way he used to close his eyes on the programme and make that silly grimace whilst everyone laughed. It got very boring week after week.

Alex horne on Off Menu was fantastic.

I'm quite new to it so lots of catching up to do. Munya on the Xmas special had me laughing out loud listening to it whilst out walking.

Back to TM really enjoyed this week's episode. It is a slightly odd dynamic with them. It was mentioned on the podcast last week, with Dara talking about the previous line up being like a mum, dad and kids.
I think everyone's being a bit careful with Frankie.

I thought Jenny Eclair’s trumpet was bloody genius.

I love him. I saw his stand up routine at a comedy festival recently and if you check his Twitter he just today ran a half marathon pushing his mum in a devise to raise money for MS.

Kiell is my favourite so far - quick-witted and funny. Mae is great too (and the others!)
